My automotive class rented piedmont dragway for a day next week. So The guys in my class had the bright idea to take the exhaust off but still leaving the cats. My question is will this help my times any or should i just put it all back on tommorow? Another thing is has anyone done this and got a ticket for it cause its loud as hell

you won't gain much hp from losing the catback. you'll lose a lot of weight which will help some but it still won't make a significant difference.

if you wanna drop something, drop the inline cats. get a test pipe, cutout, or something.

what kind of mod do you have? Depend on mod and your reaction time.
I run 9.7 on 10psi. 10.3 on 7.5psi.
But if I could have better reaction time I think I can do low 9s with 10psi.

reaction time has nothing to do with e.t., the clock doesn't start until you leave the line. reaction time is just whether you win or lose

like the others said, the catback won't help much
