2006 Mazdaspeed 6
im thinking of putting an exhaust cutout on my 2006 mazdaspeed 6 still runnin the stock piping and mufflers. As far as i understand there are electric ones and cable controlled. I would go with the cable one just because of the fact that its cheaper.
Anyone do this to their ms6? how does it sound? where did you place it? how much/where installation ? What diameter/ size did you order? What kind / where did you order? How much was the installation???

Once I return home, I am looking to do the same thing. Gonna go electric cutout, and weld it into my SU test pipe. Can't comment on the sound, nor installation price as I will do it myself. I'm going 2.5" because that is what the test pipe is, plus, I have no real desire to upgrade the downpipe. I haven't been able to find a cable operated one in 2.5". Do you know of one?

Will prob sound something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJZes1iWR7I

im getting a manual one for like 30$ and putting it right before the cat..ebay has them... but i heard that these things are not good for the car..i dont know why tho.. can somebody explain???

Jeggs has a pretty good selection. The only cable cutout they have is 2", but they have Race Ready electric cutouts in 2.5".

I've heard they can be bad on the turbo because of possible over-spool? But I haven't heard that from a reliable source. Anybody with knowledge willing to comment on this?

That sounds like too much fun for way too cheap to pass up. lol
If I get one I'll install it in my SU TP leaving the stock cat'd DP in place. Does that save me from any possible turbo/engine damage?
