With the Evo2 exhaust, do you have to specifically ask for one for the MSP or do you get the one that says for 2002 Protege and up??? And how much more horse should I expect after putting it on once I get it?

all the sedan proteges exhaust hangars are the same so you dont really have to specify, but with a full catback you can get anywhere from 9 to 13 hp

I just went to the Greddy website and they dont even list the Protege sedan for that system. Only the P5 which will not fit on the MSP, if you did not know that already. Maybe you saw something I did not but that is what I found.

I dont know if a catbakc will give you that much of a gain, the problem lies in the midpipe from what i understand and that is before catback.

I agree, a catback can't hurt but try 3-5 hp absolutely max.
Get a downpipe/midpipe first, the Apex made a huge difference on my car, and it's catted.
I had the Corkpsort exhaust (catless) for a while and the car pulled like a freight train compared to stock.
