The EVO X is nice but for the same money I could be in a BMW 335i or Pontiac G8 GT.
You could have a G8 GT with premium package and that supercharger, and still have $4k left over.

Mitsubishi officials say this is a conservative estimate, and hope that final pricing will come in approximately $1,000 less for each model including delivery fees. The previous Lancer Evo IX sedan started at $28,679 for the base car, and $35,189 for the MR trim.
Don't get me wrong: If you were to dangle the keys to both of them in front of me, I'd grab the 'Vette's every time, but I don't have the option of owning a 2-seater every day.
Since there' pent up demand for the car here in Canada, and we pay WAY more for vehicles than the US does anyways (even with an even dollar) I'm guessing we're looking at $50K up here... THe mitsu dealer I work at part time has 16 paid deposits already.

Great minds think a like. I think Mitsu will lose alot of future customers with the EVO priced that high. Isn't the STi in the same ballpark? There is many other cars around the price that are better.
Remember the EVO is based on a econobox compact.
just have to wait for the ralliart model.... EVO9 AWD and 260hp...Im sure it will be a better value than 34k...
mid 20's and im sold![]()
i know how they can cut costs. eliminate cruise control, get rid of some sound deadening, make side airbags optional, make the stereo crappy, and basically undo all the mass appeal crap they shoved in there that wasn't in the previous versions
