well i bought a set of ES wheels and tires off another forum member in hopes to save my racing hearts and bridestones from the winter abuse they've taken in the past couple weeks. if anybody questions or doesn't believe other members about the lack of tracktion the stock tires offer, trust me, they suck!!!! so here's a couple pictures i snapped this morning after installing the wheels and tires last night. alot closer caliper to wheel gap than i had figured. it was a close one.

I think you could have used a few more exclamation mark on that 'they suck!!!!'. They are simply terrible..when they mean summer tires, they are only for summer use. I hope you are using a set of winter tires, rather then just the all season's that came off the stock ES. The again, it really depends on how much snow and slush you get in the areas you drive. I know in Toronto, it's best to drive with winter tires.

You think 16" is tight? i've got on 15's and there's next to no gap. I estimate about 3-7mm gap upfront.

the funny thing or not so funny things is they are the stock tires and the back ones don't have all that much tread on them and i thought i was getting 15's not 16's. kinda surprised me a little when i was checking out the tire size, its like waaaaait a minute here, does that say 50/16? oh well. the main thing was to get the racingharts off the car and maybe skate by on those dunlop sports or whatever they are till spring when i can put the other wheels and tires on.

if ya give me a couple minutes i can go out and snap a side view picture of the car in the garage. just got done sprucing it up a little. be back in a few

here ya go. not the best angle but i might be able to get more another time. kinda tight quarters with my dads truck and my car in there

Amstel light! Why not go for the regular stuff! :D
You've got a fair amount of car care stuff in there. Mothers Showtime, Meguire's, wheel polish, etc. We should play a game of who can name the most stuff on the back shelf. :)
Thanks for posting the pic. I was thinking of trying to score some ES rims when my I get my MSP (whenever that will be, still waiting...)

yeah i've got a whole laundry list of cleaning supplies on that back shelf and it looks like s***! it needs to be replenished and staightened back out. what you can't see is bottles of Zymol, meguires wheel cleaner, eagleone mag and aluminum polish and wheel wax. hell, a whole bunch more stuff. i run my own part time car cleaning busines so its nice to have a variety of products to use. i just used the mothers quick detailer stuff that came with the clay bar i bought back in the summer and love the way it works as apposed to the meguires quick detailer.

oh yeah,my dad got the beer from work free, all the cases of Labats is long gone as well as whatever else he got

thanks buddy. Looks a lot better then winter steelies :) I've never seen the car that color before....is it like that from time to time? When I seen it in person, it didn't look so .... pale?

I'm willing to bet it is the fluorescent lighting.

Stay away from that strong Canadian beer, twiztedjeckel. Labatt's will make you blind. ;) I guess you're the man to ask if we need help with car cleaning stuff.

twiztedjeckel..
How are they dunlops holdling up in the snow though? Any good?
slightly better than those Bridgestone i suppose, right?

At least, now when th epavement is dry you can still take corners fairly hair without worrying that you are still on winter tires like i do. :(

What % is the tint?? looks dark

omg your hands are so hairy. kinda like white gorilla hands.
jk:D

NEWF-yes the lighting is whats giving the car that color. i've noticed that car looks just about a different color every time i look at it. never get tired of it:)

Grimace-a couple buddies of mine love those runs across the border for the XXX every once in awhile moreso when were at our cottage which is closer to the border. and yes i do know a thing or two about cleaning

LE-i haven't the slightest clue how the Dunlops are going to hold up in the wintery s***, like i said, the backs aren't bald but theres not alot to work with so i stuck the ones that look practically brand new in the front, yes they do look better, one wheel has some road rash on it and one other has a small scratch but other than that i think i got my money's worth out of them. oh yeah, the tint is 5%, kindas dark. and i'd rather have snows if it made you feel better:'(

Krillin-dick(upyours) :D

i don't drink so i don't care what we have laying around the house or in the garage. as long as its not spilled on my car or in it or a broken bottle under it or busted against it they can do whatever they want with whatever they got.

ok i'm done(drinks)
