Engine Oil , Coolant, Fan

I was wondering if any one has the same problem as I do with the 2014 CX 5. I have around 2k miles and it seems like its consuming some engine oil, coolant fluid has been dropping a bit and brake fluid as well. Fluid were not top off when the car was brand new and the dealership said it doesn't need to be top off. However, from day one, the coolant fluid from the reservoir has been dropping a tiny bit at a time and the dealer said it should be normal. From my other mazdas, none of them ate engine oil or have any loss of coolant fluid unless the car was over 100k miles. Was wondering if this is normal.

Kind of concern why the brake fluid would drop as well.

Also, is it normal for the engine fan to be still running when the car is turn off? It happen to me once the other day, the fan just keeps running after the engine is shut off. The fan runs about a minute or so and then turns off it self.

My 2013 used about a pint during break-in (5k miles) and I had to top up the coolant reservoir at about the 10k mile point. I wouldn't be concerned if I were you. The cooling fan running on doesn't seem like cause for concern either. Just keep an eye on it and let the dealer know your concerns/questions at your first service.

Brake fluid drops as the brake pads wear. Recommend not to remove reservoir cap and top off unless fluid level reaches the low line. Removing cap unnecessarily allows moist air to enter and brake fluid is hygroscopic. Ed

bimmer168 - it is normal for the engine fan/AC fan to run after the engine stops. It is controlled by a thermostat. This is especially true if it is hot out with AC on or after a hard/fast drive and a quick shutdown.

Mine used engine oil up to 3k miles and then stopped. As was stated before, brake fluid will drop as the pads wear. Are you checking coolant when engine is hot or cold? Reservoir levels change with the temperature of the engine.

I have been checking the coolant fluid level when the car is cold, usually in the morning right before I start the car. From the reservoir I can see it drops in millimeters but not daily. Sometimes it doesn't drop for a few days and then it will drop a bit. I don't see a huge drop in the coolant level at once so it is hard to determine if this is normal (service manager at the dealer I bought the car claim its normal). We had 4 other mazdas before and none of them had this problem especially this car is brand new.

For the brake fluid, I understand the drop in brake fluid as the brake pads wear down, however, I am only at 2000 miles and I see it drop like 1/4 inch or so and the brake fluid was not top off the "max" when the car was new. (service manager claims brake fluid on these cx-5 should not be at "max" line, is this true?)

Engine Oil Consumption- Is it normal for these cx-5 to consume oil? or it is still "break in" period. Other mazdas I have never consume oil unless it was over 100k miles. (On the dipstick, I am right in between the 2 circle) Should I go to dealer to top it off? or wait til it drops to the bottom circle.
