Before i begin i have used the search button to find an answer to my question, but it didn't help. I will be purchasing a new 2003.5 blu MSP this weekend, my grandmother had to purchase the car (i'm 17 and yes i have to pay for it all) in my native hometown of Miami. I live in Atlanta, Ga now and i have to fly down and drive the car up aprox. 800mi. Will that do any harm to the car since it is at a prolonged speed of 65-70mph for about 9hrs straight. Thanks for the help and i cannot wait. Also, any MSP owners in the Atlanta/ North Georgia area :D.

It'd probably be a good idea to travel at different RPM's. Not keep it at 4k or whatever for the whole trip.

find some twisty backroads (drive)

or...

you could let me deliver your car for ya :D

give it hell, its gonna hold or it isnt.

well, im on my second motor and i only have 32k on the car so i am probalby not the best example but the motors are made to hold under any break in. at least thats what my dealer told me

The long trip will be good for it. Just alwaus be varying your speeds as you go. I know there is no cruise control, so it is easy to vary your speed every 15 mins or so..

My dad grew up in North Dakota. The nearest car dealership was over 100 miles away. When he bought his first new car, he drove the 100 miles full throttle the entire way. The engine blew. Towed it back, they replaced the engine under warranty. He drove it home again, WOT the whole way...the 2nd engine was toast. Towed it again, got it replaced again.

The third time driving home full-throttle, that engine was fine. He said "I got a good one this time."

So i would most likely be better of varying the speeds in 15min intervals, thanks for the KIND respones which seem to be non-existent in this forum (i was expecting ppl to curse me out and tell me to use the search button again).
