and i also know that your running bigger injectors, did you just plug them in or did you have to enter them into the support tool (where it divides the stock size by the new size and then give you the correction calibration) so it would calibrate for the larger injector? if you did put them in the support tool do you remember what the stock injector size is in cc's.

The stock injectors are 280cc's, but you have to tune for the larger injectors. Even

with the injector correction it will dump to much fuel, use the airflow adjustment map

to take fuel out.

yeah my correction factor is set to .716

if you put in 280 - 391 it sets it to .716 :)

it does not matter what numbers you use as long as it shows up to those numbers
 
so the maf signal from the e-manage to the ecu does not have a resistor? and what about when it comes back out of the ecu?

Only the signal from the MAF into the e-manage has a resistor.

And the signal doesnt come back out, the ecu measures the airfow to know

how much fuel/timing to add or take out.

Did you get the upgraded version to work?
You can't extract until it's in the TRUST file or it won't work...

It maybe a lot less confusing to just solder the resistor on to the board (that's what I did) I would take a pic but no camera...

You can PM me for my # and call me today, I'm @ work til 8 tonite or so...
 
no i didn't get it to work. so i need to just move the zip file to the support tool folder and then extract it?

> PASTE AND EXTRACT FILE HERE THEN CLICK YES TO ALL to over write

thanks man i kept putting it in the folder on the desktop and not the one on the C drive. that made all the difference in the world!

so with it showing the .716 did you not have to tune the e-manage? if you did have to tune could you send me a map for those injectors? i have 440cc wrx also

the firmware update is done by extracting the file somewhere, then when your in the support tool you goto, communication, main unit update, it will ask for the file and you select the update file from where ever you copied it

you have to tune the emanage for sure, I have the map PM me your email address and I will send it to you when I get home from work

ok so the firmware can be in a different folder, it doesn't have to be in the support tool folder? if it doesn't i will put it in my map folder!

ok well great news, now when i open my support tool it displays that it is now version 1.13. but now when i try to upgrade the firmware it doesn't even send anything to it. i let it sit there and communicate for like 30 mins and it the status bar never moved. so my ? is what color is the interaction light supposed to be? does it do something different when the laptop is connected? when you are exporting data to the e-manage does the light do anything different? is there a way to do a hard reset on the e-manage to set it back to the original factory setting?

no but whenever i have the laptop or the profec e-01 hooked up my interaction light just stays solid and it should be blinking. so i don't think my blue e-manage is even recognizing anything, but my support tool shows that it's online. so do you know if there is a way to do a hard reset on it?? my support tool is updated to v1.13 and when i goto main unit update on the laptop the bar that shows the status never does anything but the time continues to count.
