ok i printed out the pinout diagram for the injector harness, but is there one for the ignition harness?

There should just be four wires for the ignition harness. (two for each coil). Not sure what p/o pic your using, but the one I used it was all on one page.

this is the one i'm using, but if you used a different one do you have a way you could get it to me?

thanks

Same one I used. ON page 2 left side is a pic of the 12 pin ignition harness

Pins 26 and 52 are for the coils. One is red the other is white.

A. CUT THE WIRES.

B. Then ON THE RED WIRE you connect 1in to the ecu and 1o to the red wire leading to the coil(away from ecu).

C. Then ON THE WHITE WIRE you connect 2in to the ecu and 2o to the white wire leading to the coil(away from ecu).

Plug into EM.

Good luck! :)

ok i am having trouble getting my lap top to communicate with the e-manage. it will connect and say it's online but if i try to update it with new firmware it will start after abotu 10 sec's and only move a little bit and then time will keep passing but it doesn't upload anymore? and it also won't let me upload my map either. so i've tried updating to v1.13 but when i download the zip file and unzip it and then move it to the folder and overwrite the files and then open the support tool it still says it is on v1.11. do i have to go in order from v1.11 to v1.12 and then to v1.13? i called greddy like 3 times today and they are pretty much helpless. so tekkie or any of you other e-manage pro's care to help me you either post or call me at 704-699-3013 tomorrow!

thanks

Did you try http://www.emanageforums.com/ or the forums on yahoo because it doesnt sound like a uncommen problem. Wish I could help more but I have had a e-manage for 2 years and never had the money to advance with trying to get it going on a na protege. If no one gives you the info you need try their.

yea i'm on both of those sites and 1 other one that is out there and still haven't had any luck.

what firmware are you trying to load? not all of them work you either need the 1.13 software or the gold conversion

I had the same issue, I think it was because I was using 1.11 as well

here is how you update to 1.13 you dont need to 1.12 first, in fact I am not sure there is one, it was probably so buggy they got rid of it in a hurry http://www.mohdparts.com/emanage/pc/blue/software/v1.13_update/v1.13_info.html

if its not working just extract the files into a temporary directory and then copy and paste them in there

then you should be able to update as far as firmware 1.39

if you want to go pass that you can do the gold upgrade you can do it in 10 minutes its simple and I have had 0 problems since I did it http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=114417

you can download all of the updates here just scroll down until you see this box almost at the end http://www.mohdparts.com/emanage/index.html#supporttool

hope this helps ya man if not let me know and I will give ya a call :)

well i am just trying to upgrade it to v1.13 and firmware 1.39. but i may try the blue to gold conversion. will my map still work if i change it to gold?

thanks

yes sir

if your software is saying 1.11 thats your problem it needs to be 1.13 to do the firmware update

I updated straight from 1.11 to 1.25.
Are you sure your saving the downloaded file in the temp folder, then copying it to the TRUST file (inside the program file) then extracting (extract here)? After extracting click 'yes to all' it will overwrite the older version files...
I currently have this version running on win95, 98(2nd ed), 2000 & XP...

ok i still couldn't get it to update to v1.13 so i hand programmed the maps with the profec e-01 so i didn't use the computer. but the car runs now, but it won't idle i have to keep it above 2000 rpm to keep it running. if i let off the throttle it will die. does anyone know what that may be? i also have two cel's one is p0102 and it is maf low input signal and then i have one that is p0103 which is reading maf high input signal, anyone have an idea on what might be causing this also?

tekkie, how exactly did you wire in the resistor on yours for the maf? cause when i called greddy they said it's not needed unless it is an rx-7. and on your air flow adj. map what do the numbers going down the left side mean. they go like 0 3 6 10 15 and so on.

thanks

i just downloaded it to the desktop and then extracted it to a new folder and then cut it and pasted it in the support tool folder.

I had the same problem stalling I had to keep increasing the numbers in the airflow I had to put in 20 for the 500-2000 rpm ranges at the 0 and 3 fields. I bet if you check your A/F they are 16+ right now, mine were off the band in the 18's.

I used the resistor, I bet those errors are related to not having it there.

dude stay away from Greddy follow that sheet I sent you thats how it needs to be hooked up thats exactly how I configured mine and it works perfect

can you explain how you did the resistor cause the diagram for that damn thing confuses the s*** out of me. where does the wire for pin 76 go? it shows it going in and out of the resistor? and where do you solder the wire at for the maf in and the ground wire?

thanks

I dont recall the pin #'s off hand but this might help out

resistor1.JPG

resistor2.JPG

so the black and white wire is that the ground wire for the maf or is that the wire coming out of pin 76? or do the maf wire and the ground wire get wired together?

thanks

Yes the Black/White wire is the ground for the MAF from the e-manage. You have to

wire the resistor to the signal coming from the acutal MAF into the e-manage, then

with other wire for the MAF out from the e-manage wire it to the other side of the

cut wire that goes into the ECU. The ground you just tie into another ground wire,

it sounds confusing but is actually quite simple.
