The first body shop welded the core support on in the wrong place, the frame was still an INCH off, and they didnt primer anything so the paint color looked WAY off.. also, they decided they didnt need a paint booth... (WTF???)..

They didnt want to give me any more than a $400 discount.. and said they would fix it themselves, I told them that I do not want them to touch the car. I took it to another shop and I am paying an ADDITIONAL $2500 to fix the problems and then some.

ahmad... how did u take the part right infront of the passanger seat off...

That has been off for a while, I am fiberglassing two gauges into that panel, I just stopped working on it after the wreck.

It takes a LOT of time.. some really short screw drivers, some loss of blood, and a lot of cussing. It is screwed in from the back and its a PAIN to take out without removing the dash.

How did the paint look off?? I just had some paint done and the code they put on was the mazda HZ and it looks alot darker than the original paint color. You can tell night and day when you open the doors where they painted, there is a line where they didnt do a very good job blending in the door jams so its like almost two tone!! I wish i could show you what im talkin about. Ill try to get a good pic later today and try to post tomorrow.

Optima Red Top goes in today, radiator whenever the hell it decides to get here, and most of the interior goes back in this weekend. Almost there guys!!

I am not just doing it for shows. I plan on forged internals, and supporting mods in the near future. I didnt just sell my TIENS for more expensive JIC coilovers just for show, I want to get into autox and racing...

Ok, Don't think that I was trying to be negative towards your car, You have put alot of work, time and money into it. I just don't understand why you would care about a turbo if you have all that stuff in your trunk. A turbo is designed in increase horsepowe in your engine and make a car much faster...a big stereo adds alot of weight to the car and makes it much slower. I was just thinking it's cool to pick one...Fast or Slow..

That was my point, sorry for not explaining it in greater detail and for it being blunt. We can drop this if you like so I won't clutter your thread anymore...

Yeah I think your opinion is a very obvious one to make. But the weight of my system does not slow the car down noticably at all. It is much like having a second person in the car with me, of equal weight. The turbo and system weight aren't going to be fighting. Obviously the turbo will give much more power than was taken away with the system weight. The system only weighs about 150-160 pounds. My wreck damaged some parts of my exhaust that were replaced with the turbo (2nd O2 sensor, downpipe), and I figured I would get the turbo now instead of buying the replacement part AND the turbo a little later. I am just going for a car that has everything, not straight performance, handeling, ICE, or looks. I like to cover all bases. Imagine my car after internals, clutch, axles, LSD, etc. I will be able to kick most other cars asses and do so fully entertained. I imagine then that I will want to replace some of the weaknesses in this kit or possibly go with a beefier kit. (burnout)

I agree with you completely Ryan!! I take pride in having my car and it being one of the brightest around I feel the need to keep it lookin good!!

you put the car goals in the right order for me too, except i dont even care if my car is that fast. it handles like a beast and i like turns so its all good for me. plus i really like the way it looks
