ELEmental's Car Progress Thread

where did u get that radiator from...i have been looking for a aluminum radiator on the net and i can not find 1?? u got a website or something???

also u have any websites that i could use for my MP5?

impressed... very impressed.

i concur with your earlier posts about speed & sound. I'm boosting to 7psi, on an ATx with audio... I'm never going to outrun the heavy-bangers with 13psi... but i'll smack around the ricer Civics and sound/look good while I do it :P

You have some sweet progress on that car, though.... mp3car.com is super useful too.

I took the car home tonight after a long days work at the body shop. I still need to go back next weekend to get some additional buffing work done, but for now the exterior is 100% complete.. the engine is 100% complete (until forged and a clutch).. interior is still missing the A,B, and C pillars (waiting to be painted)..

LinuxRacr, Moeed, and I all went to get alignment and tires put on tonight. Before and after me and Linux did a few stand still and roll runs. He needs to heavily retune after installing his map sensor so he was not able to push it as much as he has in the past.

Linux took some pictures so hopefully he will be here soon to upload and post them.

But I was able to keep up with you when I wasn't lean. This was all at partial throttle.(cool) The car is sick! we were both at 8 psi. This is the difference between a good tune, and a not as good tune. Remind me to upload the pictures when I wake up.

LOL! I bet Sam is listening to some old Ice T right now "Cop Killah." I'm gonna upload the pictures now.

Ok, new pictures uploaded to http://www.vividyellow.com/gallery/
To the Body Work / Car Rebuild and HiBoost Turbo Kit galleries.

Here is a misc picture that wasn't uploaded there:

how in the hell did you get the WW bumper to fit so good arounf the headlights? Mine looks like a disaster area had another disaster. Maybe they fixed the bumper a little? How long ago did you get the kit? I've had mine since they first came out so maybe their mold wasn't as good. I need to buy another bumper cause mine fits like crap around the lights.

Ahmad's looked like crap too at first... the first body shop ****** it up, and the new one did something to make it right.... who knows what

The bumper fit like crap originally too. I was considering modifying the bumper to fit better, instead we made a bracket under each headlight that supported the bumper all along the edge of the light. Just replaced the stock supports (same bolt holes).. then on the fender side right by the headlighter we slightly bent in the metal that goes under the bumper for the bumper to sit in more flush. Then we took out the clips on the side of the bumper that are supposed to hold in the bumper, and he thought something up to actually pull in the sides of the bumper so that it fits just like stock.

The WW bumper is nice, but they should really send some brackets to get it to fit better. I have heard of someone cutting and fiberglassing that area of the bumper but I didnt like that idea too much. The brackets do the job perfectly.

Thanks for uploading the pictures Patrick!

lolo there is always one person..

some of us are a little more ignorant than others, that's all.

I've always wondered how that worked too.

I can't wait to see the finished product.
