From what you showed me that is not 64 wires and by no means am I the brain here. The speed shop I am going to Liberty auto his name is Dave he has been doing this wiring diagram for two months now, Even Greddy might want to buy it from him, I will know more this Saturdaywhen we go to the dyno,
I was there for 7 of the hours
I know for a fact that he had the laptop hooked up already and he said everything is looking great.

Holy crap......64 wires? Mine was like 10-12 at the most last I checked. Are you sure you hooked up an e-manage and not something else, lol?

You will find that if you are tuning on the dyno and never shut the car off, the tune will hold and you will get good results. But later on, or the next time you go driving your results will change again.

Good luck though.

I second that . no one has ever got a piggyback to work with ford pcms . the only proven methods are standalone and chip or flaser based systems like from www.superchipscustom.com which will turn your stock pcm into a laptop tunable standalone. this is the company that the msp community should be trying to talk with on a enginemanagement system they have done mazdas before. Im a ford tech and will either try this or a standalone .

maybe some of the 64 wires are from the avc-r??

i think the avc-r only has like 6 wires i believe...

all this talk about it not working with any mazda/ford pc is kinda scaring me...i might pick up one for my p5 and i thought terry @ spool had it working... anyone know if it will work with a p5?

I just came back from driving it and beleave me when I say it is working, I had the boost turned up to 7.3 and man the car felt great, I will post the fuel maps on sat. when I get back from the dyno, I can not wait to get my car back it has been a week

that is the first thing I did and it works, I was worried with what everyone was saying but it looks good I will show fuel maps on Saturday

if it does work then wtf is goin on?? how did the shop install it?
and to asnwer about the p5 install..from what i understand this piggyback difficulty is only on the msp...the mp3 and p5 are fine

Yea I'm a little confused. How come it works on your car and not other peoples? Whats your secret??? haha

Like I said I am not the brains beleave me, Lets see what the fuel maps say on saturday before I open my mouth too much. I can tell you that I was stalling before because of my hard piping and he did use the antistall program and I ran it pretty hard and it did not stall once.. That boost controller is real nice, it has a learning program on it and I hit boost right away now in first gear , when it was stock it was not doing that but it went right up to 7.3 boost in first.

I am sure you guys know a lot more then me if all works out on Saturday I will give you the guys # and you can talk right to him. As I said Greddy was trying to get the wiring diagram from him

Are you sure he tuned it? You could just be feeling the effects of the AVC-R bringing boost on in a better fashion now.

I'd like to see the maps if he did because something sounds odd here. The ECU always feels good when it has been reset, but I'd wait a few more days at least until you can confirm everything is smooth and unchanged. You'll also have to look at the A/F ratio's because those vary greatly as well.
