u were running catless for some time right ? did u have any problems with the cali cops ?

nope, i ran 2.5 catless for over a year with NO problems from cali cops... i also took my p5 into the dealer for every single one of it's oil changes. they never said one word to me...

well i have 2 choices.
1. sell the Essential speed 3 inch midpipe w/hfcat and get custom 3 inch s pipe back with no cat and no resonator to a magnaflow muffler.
2. keep the midpipe and get custom cat back with the mganflow muffler.
if i go with the first option ill save like 250-300 bucks

I must have just got a freak out of the box or something... I mean, if you guys are saying those numbers look right. I think I put around 180 something to the ground with just an exhaust system.

Don't want to burst your bubble or anything, but some of these dynos can vary a lot. There's a local shop that tweaks the correction factor so people get a bigger number and are happier with their new mods from that shop. I can't say that for all of them but it can happen. I was actually hoping to get around 180. Oh well. Good numbers on your ride.

yeah it depends hugely on when the dyno was calibrated last, what brand the dyno is, how competent the operator is, how tightly they strap the car down (effects rolling resistance) , how good their blower system is. What they use for SAE correction, how accurately the input the weight of the vehicle (matters on some dyno's like Mustangs... not on others) how accurate they are on the gear ratio (if the dyno software requires it) and plenty of other things... lots goes into it as you can see :)

I know you can change the programs on dynos for different outputs. Howerver this was not the case with the dyno shop (Tom's Performance. Vancouver, WA) my car went to for the first time. 170whp stock, 182whp w/ exhaust.

Don't know what to say about the numbers of my car. I also really never had any of the typical "MSP issues" I always read about. Never needed to be flashed either.
