Drove a RX-8

They were most likely flooded when one of the lot porters moved them and shut them off with out letting it warm up. That will flood the engine about 60% of the time.
So if you jump in and back out of the driveway, let your wife in the garage, pull back in, and shut it off. it might flood and not restart?

that is exactly right. Its not too bad in the summer since the car warms up quickly, but this can be a real pain in the ass during winter when the car is really cold. You get use to it, the problem generally happens when someone who doesn't know the car does what you mentioned. Just this is enough reason not to let anyone "borrow" your 8.

I own an 8 and a MS3 as well. Both 2007's and both purchased within a week of each other (long story but basically 80mile commute + RX8 bad MPG = MS3).

I love both but the MS3 has 40k and the RX8 has 5k. The RX8 is fun to putter around in, but the MS3 is just pure fun to drive. The problem with the RX8 is the crappy MPG city it has and puttering around will drink gas faster than Michael Jackson can hand out Jesus Juice at a Chucky Cheese.

I personally have never had the flooding issue and I back my RX8 out into the street and back all the time when washing cars. Maybe I have been lucky.

from what I have read it is much more likely to happen on the 04 and 05's. They fixed most of the problem by 06.

I agree about the 8 not being much fun to drive in the city. It is out on a twisty road/track that it coems into its own.

Sounds like you have a fun garage. MS3 + RX8 = Fun.

Yeah it's a lot of fun for sure. The RX8 is very fun to drive in the twisties that is for sure. It's also fun to zip around town in. I just wished the MPG would be more along the lines noted on the invoice.

Even with my mods and tune my MS3 averages 24MPG 70%Hwy/30%Cty which is pretty good. The RX8 gets like 25MPGHWY but 9MPGCTY :(

However, now that I have done pretty much everything I want to the MS3, I'm starting to look more and more at the RX8 for mods. However, my wife will kill me if I touch it :) But it is oh so tempting to put a Turbo on it :)

Man I want one of these. I wish I could have a nice little whip for the summer months. The most I could afford right now would be maybe $6k. Any suggestions?
