Dropped off Car at Wagner Motor sports for the Turbo Instal!!!!

Cool. I can't wait to see what kind of numbers Wagner's kit will produce when someone with beefed up in ternals, and the proper tunning take their car to the dyno.

I would like to know how much u will be able to boost with the Wagner kit's full Stand-Alone if u could boost at least 10psi daily it would deff have my attention. Guys just seem to be having to much problems with the piggyback's plus I would rather go stand-alone anyways

I agree, but I would have to start somewhere. On my budget, I can only afford to take small steps forward on my way to making my P5 faster.

yeah 4500 was complete for everything. In addition I know nothin about turbo's so I couldn't install it myself. As for the hiboost kit you would be paying 4k for the kit not including the install, customer exhaust and the guage pods. Not sure what the extra cost would be maybe 6k or more because I would have to have someone here install and they charge insane prices. A local place in my area wanted to charge 1200$ for the install, and that didn't include any thing esle. Naw I',m happy with what I have. I hope you get what you want. My main concern was reliability. Seems the higher the boost you go the more problems you may have. Thats not for me but to each is their own. Good luck with your decision

I may see 200 whp because I have the tripoint adj cam gears and the mazadaspeed intake and exhaust cam, couldn;t get a dyno because Andy was backed up. When his new dyno is installled I will be coming back up and we will see for sure. After Andy installed the kit he felt that it had more power than he thought and possibly contributed to the other parts. He seemed to think they may add an extra 10-20hp. I will let you know

Glad u chimed in bro. Hope u didn't take that thread wrong I wasn't trying to knock it. All that matters is that u like it and satisfied with the kit. Hey by the way did Andy by chance mention how much boost we will be able to run on his Stand-Alone? I like the kit myself but it doesn't quite make the power I'm looking for. Hopefully Andy will read this and tune it for 10 psi

No ,no offense taken man, thats what the forum is for, Speak your mind we all have opionions and we should be able to express them with no problems. The kit I have is at 6psi. I couold have gonna with 8psi kit but I really don't race the car or auto cross. I'm the average joe that wanted the extra punch when some *** wouldn't let me get in front of them on the street or highway

I only need a platform from where to launch my horsepower from. I'm sure the Wagner kit will be just as good as the HiBoost when I've taken the same precautions and controlling that HiBoost does. I'm sure it's very easy to get 200whp from the wagner kit with just full exhaust (no random hi-flow cat) and a nice piggy back, or better. Like Hellcat said, I want to start out with something I can improve upon, instead of blowing a huge lump sum on the finished product. This kit still allows me time to save for a stand a lone, fuel pump, injectors, forged pistons and rods, head bolts, rod bolts, copper gasket, port and polished heads, clutch and flywheel and so on. Either way, I'm going to be happy with 175+whp, I just want to make it run as safe as possible. I don't want some crazy Frankenstein monster and have it only run right once a week. It Might be nice to run easy 14s in the quarter at the same time.

I agree totally. By the way Reagan, I might not be as far away from ordering a kit myself. Went to the bank today to talk about options.

weee we can be manifold brothers!

s***, I took out a home equity loan to pay off all my furniture, home renovations and fiqured while I was at it, might as well get the turbo

The way I see it is if I drop that kina cash I better be making 200 whp

if your only concern is hp per dollar get yourself a nitrous setup and move on.

SI congrats on the turbo. and as for the hiboost kit, i don't care for it's looks.. i can't believe the piping that runs overtop the valve cover. there must be a reason that i'm missing or it could have been run differently.. i just don't get it.

I agree with SI, I'd be happy with something making 170whp and safe as a daily driver.

maybe by the end of the summer.. i will have some impressive #'s... I need to start looking for a used engine.

when I got my kit installed, SImp3's ride was chilling outside, looked awesome when I peeked in the hood (it was open)

nitrous is a good bang for the buck but is a band aid solution for making hp compared to the constant power a turbo, supercharger, or well tuned n/a engine makes

i haven't even heard an explanation why you'd want to run charge piping over a very hot engine and manifold
