Dropped off Car at Wagner Motor sports for the Turbo Instal!!!!

Yeah, and all I can tell you is ****** Wow. When I first got in it I noticed how quiet the car still sounded almost stock still. I started to drive and boy what a difference. I was not sure how to drive the car so Andy got in and man does the car handle, not sure but thought I saw him doing almost 60mph in second gear. I gotta tell you I was shocked, I never put the car past 4,000rpms. I will need to upgrade the stock clutch, because its slipping in not being able to handle the power, but aside from that it was well worth it.

If you are looking for a hands free kit that gives you the punch you are looking for then I can say hands down this is it. Andy knows what he is doing. You won't be dissappointed. We couldn't get a dyno in because he was backed up but 170hp was the guareentee and with the customer exhaust, cam gears and cams in Andy felt it may gain an additional 10-20 hp. When his dyno is up I will go back down and we will see what we get.

Nice! Did he have to modify anything to get it into your car? Or did the kit just bolt in without removing/adjusting/relocating anything?

Nothing except the power streering loop. Everything else seemed as the day I dropped it off. I wanted to keep the car stock looking because cops like to bust balls in staten Island.

Basic kit at 6psi was 3250, add the guage pods, install of the turbo and custom exhaust was 1282. Believe me that may seem high, but in NY the performance shops are like triple the price for the install. I was lucky because Andy's shop is like 3 hrs from here and I felt more comfortable with the builder to install the kit rather than some one else.

As for the power steering loop I'm not sure, but check the thread on "description of the Wagnermotorsprts.net Tutbo Install" That should answer your questions. Or give Andy a call. He is a cool guy

SImp3- so you paid about 5k for the kit installed? was this including the price of the exhaust(NOT the install but the exhaust itself)

I pd total 4500$ for the turbo, the install, guage pods and a custom exhaust system at 6psi that would put me at 170whp.

As for the hiboost kit you really can't compare, it does have better numbers, but the kit is more expensive. My main goal was reliability and the real selling factor was Wagnermotor sports was like three hours away, everybody was too far and I didn't trust anyone else. Andy wasn't just a voice on the phone, he was a live body, so I would sacrafice hp for the piece of mind that the guy building the kit was installing the kit as well. I didn't feel comfortable with anybody locally to me and the one's that are here are ripoff artist.

Just gave Andy the go ahead on making the kit for my car, I can't wait to get mine installed =)

I'll be doing the installation myself tho, maybe I'll take pics as I do.

I would put pics up, but I don't have a Dig Cam or scanner yet, Andy has a thread going on pics of the install, give him a few weeks and he should have it all up.

Equinox-I know you will enjoy the kit I know I am

I'm not trying to s*** on u or anything but if u ask me u should have saved up for the Highboost & installed it yourself. U spent $4500 for the Wagner kit plus the install & all u are getting is 170 whp when u were just $500 away from having 220 whp from the Highboost. But hey each his own and happy boosting :)

500 more is stretching somethign that most likely was already stretched. Besides, I don't like the HiBoost kit myself. I don't want a cast iron manifold, and I don't like how the intake piping is set up at all. Not to mention, the hiboost kit is a WHOLE lot harder to install, and I'm sure if Si didn't want to install the wagner one, they definately wouldn't want to attempt the HiBoost install.

You also forgot to notice Si got full exhaust and a new muffler inside that price.

Midnight, you ever driven a tuned car pushing 170 horsepower at the wheels? It's pretty nice.

Haven't driven one just yet but soon I hope to be. My dad and I are going to make it into a project and install the Highboost and soon I will be boosting 11psi daily or 230whp.
To be honest I still don't know which one I want. Every day I change my mind but ultimately I want the one that puts out the most HP and that seems to be Highboost at the moment. We have a lot of Mustangs down here that like to pick on us imports and I want to put all the Gt's to shame and make them ride home with there ego bruised and there tail between their legs

Please say you aren't going to boost 11 psi with that kit without taking proper precausions. Just don't want to hear about another boost project gone bad.
