oh yeah, the car looks good too. doing springs on these things are not fun at all.
but it only took me just over an hour start to finish. then i was back apart again to do the struts 3 days later, then again another 5 days later to do strut tops and bump stops. hahahahaha

What method did you use to take the shock out of the knuckle?

I got so angry doing that when I was installing my coilovers lol

Actually I have not replaced my shocks yet but I really need to. How did you do yours so I know the right way when I do mine lol. Lol I know thats cheatin haha I think I was angry the entire time putting my springs in I was wanting to give up so many times but I didnt.

Ahh I remember the first time I replaced struts. I took me awhile cause I took alot of breaks, the came back and swung a sledgehammer at it, then walked away. If you would have been watching you would have been laughin your ass off. But I got it. Felt amazing when i was finished.

LOL THANKS im sure I will have more pics up in the future. My friend is a photographer and she is wanting to do a photoshoot when I get my pink on the wheels but anyways im jealous wish it took me only an HOUR! I didnt do my struts I heard the stock struts will hold up for awhile so im not in a big hurry and I did my bumb stops the same day I lowered it. What springs do you have?

lol um i tried so many things, lubing up the shock and knuckle, using the scissor jack, a hammer and it wouldn't budge...then my friend comes over and just kicks the rotor down a few times and it came off in like 2 seconds. I was really mad because I was trying for atleast an hour and he just kicks it off lol

the only reason it took me an hour is because i have access to a lift at work other wise it would have taken me way longer. im on H&R springs, i blew my stock struts out in 3 days after the springs when on. i was one of the rare cases where there was fluid was literally hemorrhaging from the struts in a matter of days. granted, southeast pa roads didnt help either.

OH are you talking about getting the strut out of the knuckle where the rotor is... I used a heavy duty hammer and a solid round metal edge thing my friend had. I put the metal edge right behind the rotor where there arm is and just started pounding it with the big A$$ hammer lol it took a few hits but it finally popped off.

Depending on your disc brakes, there is an easier way to go about taking them off your car other than hitting them with big ass hammer. If there is an extra hole where your lug nuts go through the rotor you line up the hole with the back plate and put a screw in there and tighten the screw. You need a little bit of muscle sometimes to turn it but it will put enough force on the rotor and push it away from the back plate/hub and it'll be much easier to get off. Just a little finesse is all it needs.

Turns are good and overall its ok. It does tend to be a bit bouncy on the high way if I hit a dip but not to bad nothing to complain about and on the streets it good. NO I didnt change the struts just springs but I will be changing the struts in the near future as well as the shocks. I should have done it all together but didnt have the money =/

Good Job leslie. looks really good, i rolled around on my stock struts an Eibach's for nearly 60k and had no issues. you should be fine, but as others have said keep an eye on them just to be on the safe side.

as far as removing the strut from the knuckle a friend of mine showed me the easiest way i have seen or heard of so far, for removing them the first time.

take a 1/4 inch ratchet with a small extension on it, and on the inside of the knuckle where the end link is theres a gap, take the extension and the ratchet and put it in the gap then turn it till it catches on the "CORNERS" of the extension's end, it will open up the "C CLAMP" part of the knuckle and make it easier for the strut to come out. this is also very useful and not nearly as time consuming as anything else i have done weather its the first time doing it or the hundredth time doing it.

but good luck on the struts hope you have as good of luck as i have had.

Not a problem, I am on coils now but my factory struts are still good.
