Ok this has bothered me for a while
I know you cant drift in a fwd car and it has to be rwd
or its just better in a rwd car
so
could you drift in a fwd car if you are in reverse because technically you would be a rwd car? Although you wont have much speed

no because if you're going backwards, you're not only 'rear wheel drive', you're also 'rear wheel steering'

Yeah the rear steer feature of going backwards in a FWD car makes the steering very sensative too.

You can get some good "drift-like" slides going with a FWD car though. Many autoxers have done it many times.

Seriously? Reverse? I hope that was a joke...

And as far as drifting...you can 'drag ass' and hang the tail end out for a brief period, but as far as power oversteer (actual drifting) goes, you're pushing from the wrong end.

I can't believe I replied to a drifting thread.... lol

Some cheap ebay BOMZ intake, black and blue Ebay seat covers, maybe HID bulbs not sure but they are 5900K HIPRO somethings, Sexy furry snow leppard steering wheel cover from walmart, cheap whistler radar detector, hilo hattie shell lei on the mirror, crappy dashboard cover, oooooooo and the flames cd holde

was that really necessary? I didn't see him bad mouthing anyone. What did your mom tell you about what to do if you can't think of anything nice to say?

I don't know if that was sarcasm on your part (Maff) but some of these replies are not necessary at all.

Way to treat your fellow members.

Everyone is here to learn, respect it.

No, most of these replies (including this one lol) are definately not necessary (especially the flames).

It's not that hard to answer a question. We were all newbs at one point. Hell, I still am!

It's cool to visit but I wouldn't want to live there. It's like living with a fine ass woman. After a few months she's no longer fine as hell, but now just another nagging girl taking up space(glare) .

Oh, and yea some of the replies are harsh but come on. REVERSE!? Hell you can't even get up to speed in reverse. Some times people should think hard before asking a question.

But you are right, you can not drift in a FWD car. Although you'll always have the 19-23yr old that will argue you can. This is another topic that's been around longer then most of you have been driving.

Or the poor mans drifting technique......food trays under rear tires with the ebrake on....
Van

This is what I was going to post. I saw them do this on 5th Gear and it was funny as hell!!!

From experience I do not recommend the poor mans drift. I've done it before and popped a hole in my oil pan and lost a tire. ;P

Actually, you can do it but make sure there is nothing around. :(

Freakin a' I love curbs.
