Are you guys flat shifting to produce the times you're getting?

Tell me your time and your method of shift, please.
 
Dont powershift the one two shift. Only 2-3 3-4 and 4-5. This car is very very very easy to powershift, WOTshift, noliftshift, flatshift, whatever you wanna call it. LOL
 
agreed. even with small mods like I have, I was getting crazy wheel hop and spinning on a 1-2 power shift. everything else worked great, except my intercooler was slamming into the windshield cowling.
 
Yeah, I agree, Driver.. it's real easy to flatshift this thing. My problem is 2-3 traction. The car is still spinning pretty hard at the bottom of third if I don't lift. If I do lift 2-3 I get only a small bark.
 
A simple MBC @ 18 psi will accomplish that with of course, a map clamp. Do the Intercooler upgrade and a fuel pump. Add a DP and a Test pipe and you pretty much have a fire breathing MS3 that EVOs and STis will fear. Dont forget the coil spring mod and -1 step colder plugs.

So I guess no one has a problem flat shifting... I mean I can and have done it but I'm sorta afraid of f'n my tranny by hitting the rev limiter multiple times between shifts. Maybe I just need a short shifter +brushings. I wonder how much time I'm losing in the 1/4 by not flat shifting. Thing is I just shift really really fast and don't completely let off the gass and it seems to work fairly well
 
the SU mount is great... just don't get the ETS intercooler, because it still isn't stiff enough.
