Don't Buy From Traveljunkie He Is A Scammer!!!

Calling it a scam at this point is a bit premature. But Alex's frustration is understandable. When I received money for product in the past, product was shipped out that very same day or the next at the ******* latest along with an email with either a tracking # or a confirmation #. Not responding to buyer after he paid his money is no way to do business. So I thank Alex for this post because I considered buying s*** from travelinjunkie in the past. Maybe you don't mind to be done like this but some of us would prefer not.

It's not premature. If the guy won't respond, chances are, something is up. I don't care what BS about bad shipping, yada yada yada, it should have been shipped, with a tracking number, or he should have been able to present/scan a receipt.
Why is everyone so gung ho to defend people who won't work with somebody, especially on something as simple as correspondence? Is ignoring someone and laziness now a standard business practice? It's rather sad you have all decided that it is a norm and should be accepted. It is NOT normal, and should not be tolerated. I have sold/shipped a BUNCH of stuff on here, even to Canada, and the longest I think it ever took, even to canada, was less than two weeks.
Alexitov, sorry to hear this is happening.
BTW, if the guy travels a lot, he should let the person buying stuff know when to expect the stuff. Not responding is not acceptable. Not shipping quickly is another story, as long as the buyer is informed first.
Another reason not to buy from people with low post counts. Flame all you want, but people get screwed more often than not when that is the case.

Hmmmm... What if Ryan is actually Traveljunkie
Just a thought. I have a hard time understanding why he's so defensive about this.

Ryans not, so lets not even go there.
Just perhaps doesn't think it is time to start calling him a scammer.
We each have our ideas on what you can define as a scammer.

Something aian't right, now if it is done on purpose or not remains to be seen. That is all.

Lack of correspondence or not responding is done on purpose. It is a choice. He chooses to not work with the buyer. It's rather obvious. Either you communicate, or you don't. Not communicating never leads to anything good.

well s*** if you are traveling why are you trying to sell s***.....doesnt make sense, why make promises(sales) if you are not going to fulfill them ah? damnit...

gotta give him a chance man. two weeks is no time? lemme put it to you this way, say for example i buy something off mitch protege5online.com okay send him the money for something, well, he goes on vacation or goes out of town for the weekend and didn't tell anyone, so 3 days go buy, no word, then he orderes the part a week goes buy, nada, finally gets to him, and he ships another weeks goes buy and finally ur part gets to you. thats 2 1/2 weeks. not saying mitch wouldn't inform u cuz he always does for me, The part more than likely is on its way, and he just hasn't had the chance to let ya know a heads up. If he travels alot with a job, it may take him a few days to get back ship the item then say he leaves agian, and he wouldn't see his email till he returned. Just saying 2 weeks isn't a long time. You act like its the end of the world if its not to you in 3 days. If your that concerned and you paid through paypal u can inform them of the situation they will freeze his account and he will be able to do nothing until the dispute is cleared up. I say give it another week see if it comes in if not, then b**** up a storm and call scammer all you want, btw, if you ordered it on like a wednesday and he doesnt ship till friday tha weekend isn't considered part of the time, u can only count weekdays.

i don't order from ppl off the forum either. ARE YOU THAT STUPID, it was ur risk not mine. Shoulda waited till some ppl came back saying he was legit.

but he has followed through on 3 other ppls orders, no he never emailed them or anything back, but he did follow through, but it took 9 days to recieve even tho it was priority on one guys that i talked to.

he's not my bro, i just happen to know a few ppl that ordered stuff were concerned but they recieved the merchandise. Never met tha guy, he was supposed to be at a meet we set up here he didn't show. To be honost, id prolly agree with you, up until a email i got two days ago from ppl telling me they finally recieved there items.

Where'd ya get those DaveB. rings?
I DO support people on this forum. I've got an antenna from xelderx., my rims from GReddy917, tires from ACTS, shifter from Tom@kartboy,and I'm thinking about some gauge-rings from DaveB.
What I'm not doing is defending someone that ripped-off a friend(that's what I consider other members on this forum).
If travelinjunkie made any effort to contact alexitov at all, this would all be cleared up. But he hasn't and it's not.

Awesome Eggy! Ryan, you really need to stop. Your looking pretty foolish and hypocritical trying to stick up for junkie.

BTW eggynatey - this was the first post I ever seen from you that didn't make me laugh :p

I hope not Domino

Ryan, if you really want to help, post the people that have purchased from him in the past so they share their experiences with alex.

On the 2nd of May, traveljunkie has informed me that he shipped it out to me. Today is 15. Still no replies from him. I was contacted by another member of this board who purchased the identical CD changer like I ordered. The other person has received the CD changer a while back.

The thing that worries me is why traveljunky had 2 of the same cd changers (both with casette player)??? and he isn't responding me. I paid him with a person check so I can't just complain to PayPal. I will give my bank a call tomorrow and will try to stop the check if I won't get any response from the junky.

Alex.

Ya that is little strange.
But Ryan is kinda of right on the shipping, it took almost a week 1/2 for my antenna to come. Which isn't bad, but from only 1 state away?? But I didn't come on here screaming that he was a scammer, cause he is not. Actually a good guy.
Mail sometimes get slow etc.

Good Luck though.

thank you remillers, im not sticking up for travelin junkie, im just saying i dont think you guys should come on here screaming scammer scammer, if he wasn't a scammer b4 your making him one. might just pissed him off and all intention of sending you the stuff my be gone now, so you prolly screwed yourselves. I am just giving possiblities to why it might not be to you already, and you guys are jumping me for it, when you fail to see the other side reasons why it might take longer. This is the real world yanno not some fantasy game that lets you get the part as soon as you payf or it.

i truely wish some ppl could read, you should wait till some ppl come back saying he's legit. hrm.. (that sounds like a warning and something i use)

this is totally different issue. Mitch is authorized vender, and we all know who he is.
he has a lot of customers, and he might lost track of something.
but traveljunkie..whoever he is... he should act quickly about this.
:bs:

Ok, I am gonna say something here even though I am new to the forums.

Ryan, by comparing the transaction that took place between alex and travel, and that of from an order to mich is like comparing apples to oranges. Why? Simple really....

In the case of mich: He is an autherized vendor, this means if he trys running off with someones money, he wont get far. He is really easy to track, and orders with him are going to have some sort of paper trail...recipets and what not. Not only that, but to get something from him and it taking 2 and a half weeks, is totally different than someone sending something priority mail. Why? Mich may have to order that item, than he must wait for it, than ship it out, just like you said...this could take 2 and a half weeks, if not more...that is understandable. Cause well, he had to order the item cause it was out of stock at the time of purchase.

In the case of Traveljunkie: He HAD the item, it was in his posession. He didnt have to order it and wait for it to arrive, he already had it. There for he could send it as soon as he got the money.

Now travel supposedly e-mailed alex saying he sent it. I say supposeldy cause I havent personaly seen the e-mail. So if he did send it priority 2 week is more than enough, I have shipped a lot of packages from my business and have lost maybe 2 packages in 3 or 4 years. Now something that bugs me is that travel wont respond to alex. There really is no excuse for that, in todays world you can get ahold of people no problem. Between e-mail, cell phones, things of that nature travel should be able to reply to alex.

Ok, something else. Alex you said you paid with a personal check. I dont know when travel actually got the check, but 99% of people will deposit that check into thier account, and wait for it to clear before sending the purchased item. It can take a week or more sometimes for a check to clear. That may be having an effect on this whole thing.

Still the fact remains, travel should at least, if he did send it, reply to alex, and get him a copy of the postal reciept. That is more than an easy task.

Alex, my advice to you. Check your bank to see if the check has gone through. If it has wait a few more days, if you still dont get it, and travel wont reply to you, take it further. I dont know how much the cd changer was, but you may end up having to eat it. I dont know how electronic fraud works, but you could take him to court over theft of funds, electronic fraud, things of that nature. Although its a matter of if it would be worth it to you, trouble vs what you lost?

Here are a copy of the e-mail. IF he waited for the check to clear, why did he tell me that he shipped it out???

hey alex i think I just sent you the wrong email but your cd changer went out I looked at the reciept from the postal service but they dont give tracking numbers just the zipcode and area it was delivered to I could copy and fax you a copy if you need it let me know but it went out priority mail so you should have by weds or thursday since you are in cali let me
