I was just looking at the 2013 and 2014 SCCA (sports car club of america) Solo2 (autocross) rulebook, and was surprised to find that the mz5 is not classified for competition anywhere.
The Mazda 3 is classified in HS (the slowest class), so it would be a fairly safe bet that the heavier and taller mz5 belongs in HS, and if you showed up at an event HS is where they'd put you, but I found it interesting that it wasn't listed at all, technically.
