Did this come out of my car?

So I go into my garage this evening and find two puddles of an unidentified liquid dripping down out of the wheel well of the front driver's side.

It seems to be an oil. I don't seem to be missing any engine oil and what I do have is pretty dark as I'm due for an oil change. I can't find any of this liquid anywhere in the engine bay.

Whatever it is, is splattered all down the driver's side of the car, dripped out of the rear driver's side wheel well (only one much smaller puddle) and splattered all the way across the rear bumper.

I've been wrenching on my Jeeps for a number of years and I'd like to think I can tell the difference between windshield washer fluid and motor oil, but the MS3 is (thankfully) no solid axle 4x4 Jeep...

Any thoughts?

just looks like you drove in something. CV grease would be instantly noticeable and it's not brake fluid as clean as the caliper is.

Is there anything on the inside of the rim? If it is all on the outside of the tire then most likely as those have said above.

i agree with the above..... looks like you drove over something cause of the splash marks in your fender well...and the puddles seem to be right under both sides of the fender well.....

yeah, it doesn't seem that you have anything leaking from the car itself, so i concur, you drove through something (i feel sorry for the other car!) ... weird!

I just realized that you can't see the top of the strut in that pic. The only other possibility would be if the strut failed under high compression and sprayed out the top then dripped back down on the tire. It's a longshot but the only other thing I could think of.
