Hello all

I did some checking and the last time Dave (Micaspeed) was on this forum was his post to this thread back in November.

I sent him a personal e-mail.

Here's what it said

Hi Dave

There is a growing list of interested parties in your Mazdaspeed Klunk Fix.

Are there any available? Can you provide me/us with an update?

Here is the link http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1428974#post1428974

Thanks

More Klunk fix brackets

Hello,

Again, I have not fallen of the edge of the earth, got close though. Yes, being the dad of two teenagers and taking care of elderly parents keeps one busy. Sorry for not keeping in touch.

Ok, on to the brackets, here's the current status. All of the original 25 sets are sold and on cars. The feedback has all been very positive. I knew you guys would like them. Just wait till I get the hollow big rear bars done!

Now here is the dilema, do I do another 25 sets? Before you answer, I must give you some additional info before you answer. The price has to go up. Truthfully, I made virtually nothing off the original sets, not even including the original design/engineering time. When I set the original $165.00, I stuck to it. The fact is, they need to be in the $225.00 range. Considering a decent sway bar is similary priced, I feel it is still a great value. Those of you who have them can attest to the quality.

Now do I do it? I do not have much time to do informal market studies and such, so this is it. You guys have been great, so I want to serve the community well.

The other option would be to again offer the design to someone who has the time and background to take it over and produce in quantities. This would include AutoCad .dwg files, Solidworks files, etc. I have a contact at Mazda Motorsports I have thought of contacting in this regard, but time again is an issue. With this in mind, using my production background, I doubt the pricing will get any better.

Let me know what ya'll think!!!

Godspeed!

I think that Turfburn would be an excellent candidate if you choose to pass on the design.

As for me I am very happy with the brackets, and are desperately waiting for you to release the hollow 3 piece bar!!!

micaspeed, i might suggest starting a new thread for your current idea. i don't know if a lot of people are still following this thread, and new people interested might not want to read 13 pages.

are they trunk braces ? anypix ?

225$ is still a good price, considering the very high quality of the product (I have a set and I can testify)... it would be sad that Micaspeed couldn't, at the end, get nothing from all the work and R&D that was put in.

I wish I would have known about you not making any money I would have paid up to 280.00$ without flinching. In fact I would have rather paid more so you could have made some money.

Godspeed "Supafreak" (crazy)(chair)(crazy)

To all you others if you can get these for your MSP/MP3 you should because all the stock swaybar bushings will fail over time this is the only fix and not just "a fix" but rather an improvement over and above increased bushing life.
So just kick yourselves in the your sacks for missing out on these (laugh)

I would definitely buy your brackets at the higher price without a problem.

I would have paid $300 for mine. Awesome pieces. I too can't wait to get my hands on the hollow bar!
