Dealership problems..... Help!!!

they're trying to **** you...tell them they make it work with the deal originally drawn up or they can come get the car.

They're just trying to get more money out of you.

Do you know who they were getting financing through? Find out and call the finance company and inquire about the loan.
OMG! I am in that same nightmare right now! I got a 2010 Mazda 6 on 5/31/10, and today I got a call that our "contact" was not approved. We bargained and bargained and got the price down to the payments I was comfortable with back on the 31st, but now the dealer called 2 weeks later and said that to keep the car, I have to put $1,500.00 cash down, AND purchase at 7 year warranty so that they can make money on the deal! WHAT???
I have put 1,000 miles on the car, installed new wheels, AND professionally tinted the windows.
I have an appointment tomorrow to go back in with them to sign new paperwork!! wth??? What do I do?

This might be solved already, but I'd try this. Take your paperwork to your personal bank or credit union and show them. Ask on what terms they will finance that car at the price you negotiated with the dealer. If you reach an agreement, contact the dealer, tell them that you have arranged your own financing for the price. Since your previous contract was not approved, they should reluctantly accept that. If not, give them the car back and go shopping again with pre-approved financing. (Disclaimer - I am not a lawyer and never worked in a dealership. I don't see why this would not work, and you may have to fight, but there may be laws depending on where you are making it difficult. But that would be my approach.)

That's BS. I would give the dealership 2 options:

A) Take the car back

B) Tell them to re-write the sales agreement for the difference, but to cut you a cheque so you can apply it back to the loan or to other debt.

Wow. So let me get this straight. Before driving the car home, there is no paperwork being signed stating the contract details of the sale? No bank paperwork? No actual bank appoval? Or I am reading this in correctly? Everytime I have purchased a vehicle all paperwork is there, bank contract (who is financing it, what the terms are...interest rate, length of contract), sounds to me like this is all a bait-n-switch scam going on. Or sounds like it's a pre-appoval type deal, then I can see where there would be some problems.
