So here's the story. Bought car 1.5wks ago. Just brought it into the dealership for aftermarket installations. Picked up a few days ago.
(1) There was a small dent on the driver's side door near the handle.
(2) There were scratches on the hood.
(3) A small 'smudge' near the driver's side side view mirror - difficult to describe but seems like the paint is worn in that spot.
(4) The center console was not put back, the faux wood paneling was hanging off.
(5) Today I parked at the supermarket, and turned off car. All of a sudden the SmartKey didn't work to lock the doors. Then I tried to turn the engine on - no luck. Had to call Mazda Warranty Roadside Assistance. As it turned out, the cable to the battery was completely 'detached'. Obviously when they did the installations, they didn't attach the cable to the battery properly!!!
What should I do? Please advise.
Obviously get all 4 items fixed. Do you know if these are 'easily' fixed problems? I think the dent can come out. But the scratches and smudge I'm worried about because of how it might leave the paint finish. Any advice will be appreciated.
After that, I think I should ask for some other things to compensate for the damage, and stress, and just the fact that I just bought a ~$40k car 1.5wks ago, and now there's damage done to it!!!! Free service?? Free accessories?? Can't think of anything else, I'm sure all of you out there will have some ideas!! My highlander of 5 years doesn't even have a scratch or a dent!!!
Very dissapointed. Please help with some direction to take in this situation.
