Can anyone tell me, definitively, which of these pieces are held on only by double sided tape, and do not have those pins behind them in to the trunk?

I know the Skyactive badge has 2 holes, I saw a guy around here driving around without it attached. I'm sure the Turbo letters do not have holes.

You can verify which by looking at any OEM parts diagram. But most all Mazda the center trunk emblem is hole mounted, and the lower and other badges are adhesive tape. This way the trunk lid can be used for more than one model MAZDA that may have different identifying information.

The only way to have a good looking debagged trunk lid center MAZDA emblem is to weld the holes and repaint the complete trunk lid. IMHO it would truly improve the rear look of your MAZDA!
I mean who cares to really advertise what your vehicle is, let them guess after seeing how clean it looks!

I once removed my emblems and painted them black. The center Mazda emblem had 2 'pegs' that fit through holes and located/centered it. The others were attached with just a gummy adhesive that could be removed with monofilament fishing line using a sawing motion. Since the paint was permanent I later replaced them with chrome originals after tiring of the black. The replacements were not cheap, even for ebay prices but Mazda was asking a fortune for pieces of chromed plastic. This was "definitive" on my 2014. I suspect yours is the same.

I'm okay leaving the center Mazda. It seems the 'turbo' must be tape as the letters are small. So we're then left talking about the CX-5, and then the 3 plaques - SkyActiveG, Signature, and AWD. While each badge is small, they're also large enough that they could have a pin

The SkyActive badge has 2 holes, at least it did on the one I saw last week. I did not see any holes where the other badges are. For the record, that vehicle still had the Mazda emblem in place.

Well, I guess when in doubt a Google image search might just turn up something.
Here's a 2020 emblem. I stand corrected, you are correct, this one has 2 pins.
May be able to find the other emblems on ebay.

Similar design, so the 'signature' and AWD may very well also have pins. Any thought on the 'CX-5"

I noticed if you look at the attachment of the center Mazda logo itself it would be hard to remove cleanly as the line between the upper and lower panels does not go all the way across the hatch. There would be an obvious empty circle where the logo once was which would look really strange.
