damn wheel hop!

when i punch it off the line i get crazy wheel hop. what will elimiate this?
Aftermarket engine mounts, possibly different tires, a lower RPM launch.

I'd say get both motor mounts, or you'll end up doing what I did, and destroying the rear motor mount so badly that you can't recognize it anymore.

I'm testing a SIDE (yes, SIDE) motor mount insert made by Kooldino. I'll be posting up a full report on it next week, but for starters:

1. Barely any increase in vibration
2. A 3500 RPM clutch DROP with no wheel hop.

'Nuff said.

Try some lowering springs and better tires! Both motor mounts will get rid of the wheel hop also but I dont want the vibration that comes with both and I wouldnt get just the front motor mount cause it will wear out the rear one quicker

why would you want/need side motor mounts? does your motor rock side to side? b/c mine doesnt.......
because thats the only Motor mount...and its very far from the others...thats the one that breaks a lot.

The othe 3 mounts are on the transmission!

It was a theory we wanted to try. And it was much more successful than we expected. The 3500rpm clutch dump with just this one mount had no wheelhop, just spin. Idle vibrations are barely increased, and it feels like the power is getting to the pavement more 'efficiently' if that makes any sense.

The mount I am testing is on the driver's side (under the battery). It's fairly easy to install, there's no crazy extensions needed like for the rear mount.

eventually i'll finish my motor brace idea, it was working perfectly, no wheel hop/vibration, etc...until one of the stock brackets it was bolted to broke, all i need to do is make a stronger brace compared to the stocker and it won't break, but i am also lazy lol, so it will get done when im bored and nothing to do.

i used to have tire hops, then i used to bog, then i used to peel out real bad.. now i have pretty good launches.... i just think you need practice...

practice isn't always the true fixer of wheelhop, in my p5 i get bad wheelhop shifting into 2nd also, my motor mounts are really worn out, the engine brace will be going back on soon.

All I did was put some Pirelli P Zero Nere M+S on it and I never wheel hop. I peel out if anything but at least it sounds cool... but the traction on the tires are Great being that they only cost like $115 ea.

No more shaking after bumps

Just passing this on.
Everytime I'd go over little bumps, the front end suspension, or whatever it was, would shake and rattle quite a bit. It was very annoying so I finally took it in to the shop. I'm not very car savvy, but they said they replaced the sway bar. Cost about $80 total w/ labor. No more shake and rattle!

Woohoo!
