Damn Dome Light!

My dome light won't illuminate when opening the doors. It will only work manually. This is not a huge deal really but I am just amazed that we can't figure this out.

Yes I have tested pretty much everything
-tested door triggers all good
-tested fuses all good
-tested/confirmed wires have good connection and continuity all the way.

Any help?

stupid question but is the switch on? Theres three ways you can switch it. Just asking

^ yeah, what he said. there's "on", "off", and "door" which turns it on only when the door opens.

Yes, it is a retarded question, but i've been victim to something as simple as this (my glovebox light wouldn't turn on, until i found out the headlights had to be on for the glovebox light to turn on.....).

if there is something wrong with the gauge cluster or its wiring, then the dome lights won't work right
