CX-9 Viper Alarm

Hello,

just wondering if anybody here had a viper alarm or any other non factory alarm installed, from what the installer is saying if i do the viper alarm (no remote start) the functionality of the button on the door and the trunk (pushing it once to unlock and push again to lock) will no longer work and i have to pull out the viper alarm key fob to lock and unlock.

i know this is too picky but i love the fact that i dont have to pull out the fob to unlock and lock the car. im about to install aftermarket car stereos amp and subwoofers and i am kinda learing in holding off the alarm since the car has factory alarm anyways and i dont live in a bad neighborhood and my insurance covers my sound system.

That's exactly the reason I chose the factory remote-starter system. The electronics are so tightly integrated, you'll love some functionality with 3rd party systems.


Even with the 3rd party systems being superior in functionality, I would advise against choosing non-mazda.
