My ms3 is almost out of warranty and is getting some minor things fixed so I now have a CX-7 loaner. I've only had it for a day so this is just a first impression but I'm impressed! It handles very well for a vehicle in its class and the cabin seats and seating position are very comfortable.
Considering my last car was a mazda 6 automatic, I was right at home with the manumatic - it's the only way I drove my 6. The tranny was smooth and the gear shifter positioning perfect! My only complaint would be the slight lag on take off. But considering my mazda 6 had the same issue, I'm not too surprised or disappointed. It was quick after that initial lag however, and the smoothness of the acceleration was deceiving until I stared at the speedo. It only has 7k miles so it's more than likely an '08. And while the interior isn't the best in class, it's damn nice!! And just the way I like it, simple but adequate. The rear camera came in handy today as I had to parallel park in a tight spot. All in all this is a great, fun vehicle and would certainly be close to the top of my list if I was in the market for a crossover.
