OUCH!.... but hey it looks like the painted eyelid made it A-OK!.. (cool)

I found another picture of my engine bay. It was taken about 2 hours before I hit the guardrail. Then the other picture was taken about 5 minutes after I hit the rail.

okay, well, timing didn't work out for me to have a digi cam and a clean engine bay at the same time, so you guys are just gonna have to deal!! haha. These are my first pics of my MAM fmic hardpipes, and my new BPV.

Now i just gotta do something about that coolant resevoir.

How much was the SRI. The location is perfect.

Well it was part of the kit... you might get in touch with MAM because they may be able to sell it separately (no idea on the price), but you can probably expect to wait for a long time (and i had to pick up a new intake to turbo coupler, no biggie though).

I really love the black powdercoat though. Anyone got any suggestions for some cheaper stuff i could do to make my engine bay look better??

its only a cell phone pic cause my cam is at work ;)

can we get before and after string/tape dynos? ;)

I was going to ask if that was the spearco air/water setup. I was seriously considering doing the air/water on my build due to space limitations and I did a lot of research on it, but I still wasn't convinced that it would provide superior (or even equal) cooling to an air/air IC. It seemed that once the water temps reached ambient, it would no longer cool. I heard sometimes the water temp can reach near-boiling and would lose it's heat absorbing capability.

How do you like it and does it work well? Any complaints?... I'm dying to hear.

i just took that pic yesterday, its not done yet :) soon tho.

the concerns you have are valid but you can take steps to avoid/lessen that on a daily driver (alum piping, larger water tank, larger heat exchanger (mines a 6 pass ). plus if i go to the track i can throw some ice in there and have cooler than ambient temps. im going t have some massive throttle response with less than 3 ft of piping tho.

its more pricey than air / air too but i like being different. im probably going to monitor intake temp or water temp to make sure its effiecient enough. but at 220whp (goal) it will work oplenty fine. lightnings use them and they have way more than 220whp and less water capacity stock than mine.

Ya air to water rules man, and amen to what u said about the ice water. Lots of guys do that at the track... What are the dimensions of your heat exchanger?

Edit:

Hose dimensions too please...

how much was it all together and where did you get it if you don't mind me asking?

not sure on the parts list as im not done, the ic was 479+ shipping. got it from top end racing. racetep.com. i also used 12an aeroquip hose and socketless fittings so that adds up fastily.

heat exchanger is 3" thick, 14 inches long and 5.75" tall. hoses are all 12AN (3/4")
