Verdict
Well....I got an estimate. They estimated about $1300 worth of damage. I should get my car in the shop before the end of the week. I am going to be a real dick about my car when it comes out. One thing wrong....back you go! Sometimes you gotta be that way. If you lay down, they will walk all over you. When the guy assessed my car, I said okay now let me compare MY list of writeups with yours. They will overlook something in a minute, and if you let it slide, youre phukked. Wish me luck.

I figure I was going about 35-40 mph. What caused the hydroplane I think, is the way the road is. It curves gradually to the left as it goes up a hill. So you have to accelerate, turn left slightly, go up a hill, and fight currents of water as you do this. Maybe I should sue the state for unsave lane paving. This is not the only time I had an incident on this road. One time, with my other car, I was going down the same road, in the rain, and I hydroplaned all the way across the road two feet in front of a school bus, up onto a hill sideways, YES, like Dukes of Hazzard sideways, where I was staring at the ground, but I got control and slid back down the hill. But my car ended up in the same lane where the school bus was, but he/she swerved out of my way. WHEW! I guess this is God's way of saying, hey take another road. So I do.

No....I wasnt on the side of my car, like on the door, I was actually riding sideways, like those motorcycles do in that steel round cage at the circus.

Good news for me.....I guess
I called the bodyshop today, and they are replacing two of my rims with brand new rims, and letting me keep the two damaged rims. I am thinking about taking them to this really good local rim repair shop to work their magic. Can you say PROFIT!?!

Follow Up!
Here it is Dec 19th, My car has been in the shop since Oct 11. And STILL they are effing up. They called me this morning and said my car was ready. I asked if they were joking, they said no. So i left work and went up there....INSPECTION TIME! I had them straighten out my bumper a little, played with my new head unit a little, and then I noticed my dash was scratched up from the idiot that stole my radio. So I told Mazda that I am not taking this s***.....FIX IT. So to make a long story short, I still aint got my car yet! I am fed up and exhausted.

1300 for an estimate thats nuts i got in a wreck and i did alot more damage then that. i ordered a dg motosports hood a new bumber cover and a radiator support new light and it was about 1200 estimate ands thats with the price of the 700 hood included. seems like aot of money for just a bumber and some adjustments. you can see the pics of my car in the post that says accident pics

That sucks dude! I definitely know how you feel! Mine was estimated at $13,400 worth of damage back in January 01! Yes that's right.
