cosmo 13b-re interchangeable rx7 13b-rew

Hey, would a rx7 13b manifold and turbo bolt straight to a cosmo 13b? i know the rx7 turbos are different but are the manifold a and down pipe? are the rx7s manifold gaskets ok for a cosmo?

hello calling all you cosmo gurus!!!

?So i ripped my turbo out today as i have been experiencing lack of boost and a clicking noise from under car.
This is what i found: So looks like a cracked manifold and both turbos are wasted.
I know parts are near impossible for our cars but does anyone know where i can find a complete turbo unit???

to answer your questions, no the fd twin turbos dont bolt onto the cosmo motor.

Cracks on the faces of the the manifolds are common, but they look alot bigger than the few i have seen. as long as the metal gaskets are in tact i wouldnt worry too much about those. Chuck on some quality exhaust gasket goo when u go to assemble.

y are your turbos wasted? examine the housing for cracks, test the shaft play, look for any missing pieces of turbine and compressor fins.

The turbos dont have any play but one of fins is slightly bent... so when i reassemble i should put exhaust putty on the turbo manifold gasket? surely it gets too hot and the putty wil leak?
