Sounds like something isn't sealed right and you are getting water in your car. Was it fixed by a reputable body shop? Most offer life-time guarantees, take it back and tell 'em to fix it!

yeah, you have a bad seal. on my friends civic the rain gaurd running through his roof was never fixed right nor will it ever be so it just leaks into his trunk and his windows fog like no other

yea, i called them today and they told me to bring it in and they will look at it...im assuming this is going to cost me $0....yes, its a reputable body shop atleast here in nc (McClures Collision Center) as far as the moisture under my floor mats, it isnt THAT much but in my opinion ANY is TOO MUCH! the floor mats are my main concern...

We've had cars at my dealership, RX-8s and Mazda 3s, with moisture under the floormats and often in the trunk. Not a lot, just condensation...I can't explain why or how it happens...I think it most often happens when the car is driven in a humid climate then parked with the windows and vents closed in a dry climate. I don't think I'm thinking correctly so I'll end this post there.

this is what i woke up to!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok so last nite it rained....and this mornining i woke up to WATER IN MY FLOOR BOARD of the rear passenger side!!!!!!!!! WTF???? its almost like a freakin water bed back there....what in the hell??? i felt under the dash and everything seemed to be dry...where in the hell is this coming from???? HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!

not good...is anything else wet? can you trace the path of the water somehow? maybe it's comin the doorseal and rollin down the c-pillar or something. i would try to follow it. has it been rainy up in charlotte? it's been rainin for 3 days straight in columbia

GRRR man, this is gonna be a hassle! atleast its not supposed to rain for a while...i did vacuum up as much as i could but the insulation is still wet....the body shop said they could look at it and TRY and find the leak (could take forever b/c water leaks are a PITA!!!) i guess for now im gonna have to keep vacuuming it out! i even thought about tryin to remove the passenger side seat and like you said, trace the water IF i can.....damnit this car!!!!!!!!!

so i took the car to the body shop this morning, they said they would look her over find the leak, vacuum her out air dry it blah, blah, blah....they also said a water leak is a b*tch to pin point but they will find it. they will need atleast a half day. so i took the front seat out pulled the panels off and pulled back as much of the carpet as i could and vacuumed out the floor, the insulation and the carpet the best i could....once this is fixed i HOPE it wont smell like mold or mildew....thats my worst fear at this point!!!

After my wreck i had water filling up that little pocket on the drivers side of the trunk. it had like 3" of water in it ..they couldnt figure out where it was from so they took a hose and section by section they hosed down the car. Finally when the guy inside the trunk told them water was coming in they figured out it was the seal around the filler door. Hopefully they could do something like that with yours to find it .

I have water that pools on the passenger side floor mat...Right WHERE THE ECU IS..Yea..that scares the s*** out of me..It has been like torrential downpouring here for hte past like 20 hours and I went tout to my car to find an actual Pool of water on the floor...YEa, absoutely not driving my car or putting power to the ecu until thats dried up

I'd rip out the seats and carpet and just roll a few days (maybe just hose the exteriior down if it's not raining) with just the driver's seat (obviously) in. The carpet and padding are surely camoufaging the issue...

i also sometimes get wetness in the passenger side. ive heard a couple of MSPs do this do to the windshield flexing with the car and water running down the firewall. mine did it alot last winter but has been ok since. weird. windshield shop told me $99 to reseal but it could possibly come back.

well hopefully it is fixed!! after two days at the body shop, they sealed what they THOUGHT was the problem.... *fingers crossed*
