I am going to get my alarm installed on saturday, but I had a couple of questions about things for people that already have this alarm.

-Where did they mount the antenna on your car, and do you have any pictures?
-How did they setup your safety settings on the remote start. Like do you get out of the car then it turns off, and it set like it says on the website? Or do you have another setup?
-What other options did you add?
-Is there anything thing I should tell them to do?

Antenna I like to have mounted right above the rear view mirror, it keeps it out of the way and keep the fromage down to a minimum. The 9000 has a big antenna, so it's nice to hide it the best you can.

Safety settings on the remote start sequence cannot be changed. It should go "Brake - Hand Brake - Release brake - turn car off" the car should stay running until you open the door, get out and close the door. Once the door is closed the car should turn off, lock and arm. You have now set reservation mode for remote start.

Other options are completely at your discretion. If you are getting the "Pro" It has build in window relays, so it should be fairly cheap for them to hook your windows up, don't let them rip you off. It's a neat feature for the summers. Other then that, just make sure all doors are protected, Temperature is hooked up and such. Most of the options are all done through programming, which you can do after the fact once the unit is installed. Just RTM =)

Other then that, make sure they are a reputable installer. Some installers are shyte at installing alarms, ie: Not hiding the "brain" well enough and just letting it sit under the dash at the steering coloumn or some shyte like that.

Hope that helps a little bit!

What do you mean by making sure all the doors are protected?

And I have a GT so I have a rain sensor in the top center of the windshield.

ahh yes, the rain sensor, never thought of that one. Well, you have two massive decisions to make..... passenger side or drivers side haha. Unless you want to jeopardize reception.

Protect all doors as in, make sure they hook the wires up for the 4 doors, hatch and hood.

I have been installing these things for over 4 years now, so I see it from both sides and also see how badly some companies can install them.

Man this s*** makes me so nervous for my car. I think I'm at a good shop, but horror stories still make me worry.

And I'm stopping in on friday before I drop it off saturday morning to discuss all this stuff, so the more I know the better I can judge them when I ask them about this stuff. I'm good at getting the truth out of people, I just have to know what lies to look for.

On a happy note I won't have to get into a cold car anymore haha. And I will put the antenna on the passenger side cause I know I will see that s*** while driving and get annoyed as ****.
