what exactly does the tuner software mean?
The protuner or street tuner?
Correct me if I'm wrong but the tuning software won't be available until late 2008. If you don't have mods that are compatible with their tuning, you will be SOL.
For example, MBC's, fuel pumps, etc. won't work correctly.
Fuel pumps won't, no. But didn't you read what he said? MBCs are garbage compared to the cobb access port so you can take off the MBC with this.
Yes, I read what he said.
I said that a MBC would not work correctly.
What is it that you are trying to say?
It seems like everyone has incredibly high expectations.
Cobb tends to be conservative in their tuning so I hope no one is greatly disappointed.
the cobb access port itself will control boost so you will no longer need your MBC. That's what I was tryin to get at. I,ve been (cheers)![]()
Understood.
But as you probably know, you cannot adjust the boost with the AP whereas you can with a MBC.
I thought you could tune boost with the AP.
Not until you can tune it (late '08 when the software comes out).
ok, so i told myself that i would wait a bit to let other people guinea pig the AP for me, but now that i see that release is only 4 weeks away, i don't think i'm gonna be able to stop myself when it hits the market! (bang)

Would that go as far as intakes and exhausts?
At the initial release the tuning software may not be out for the Professional AccessTUNERs. That is anther long bit of work as well.
Cobb said the PROTuner will not be out till latter in the year. Not the street tuner!!!!!!!!!!!
So what about the availability of the street tuner software?
