Cobb AP Discussion Thread

if you can't operate it wouldn't it be your best bet not to try and tune your car yourself?

basically you plug in your ap and run the installer.

yeah you got to learn by doing but do you really want to learn on something that if you make a mistake can cost thousands of dollars? I suggest reading up on it as much as you can.

I'll have to stay tuned on this, could be good, "flatfootn launce" baby yeah! JK but why would you get an ap just to have that, you can basically just get good at that on your own. Tuning is much more worthwhile but listen to Bova, read up a good bit.

im new to the car stuff, im a diesel tech, everything is 100% different with diesels, but i did launch my car once and my rear diff mount bolts sheared off,

I had some bad stuttering turned out I switched gas stations and it stopped doing it.

What gad did you use and what did you switch to?

If your planning on launching a good bit invest in the CPE rear mount and or the Turbine Tech Rear diff brace.

Patience is the key, take your time and read up. in response to: I'm nowhere near getting my AP but fliping a!! its already giving me a headache!

So I finally sprung and bought an AP for myself for Christmas :P. Can't wait for it to get here! Currently with my mods what map should I run? (mods in signature). I want to get a Cobb SF Intake to replace my fujita CAI so hopefully with that I will have a map that will fit the car a little better...

Hey Bova, Did you ever get your map database hosted?

Also after updating my AP to the new firmware (?) it is not reading or logging a few things right. I have been working a ton lately so I haven't looked in a while, but I think it was readingthe boost, and AFR maybe KR too incorrectly. I remember seeing something about some errors with the new beta firmware, but don't remember what the fix was, or even if there was a fix at all. I should note that htis didn't affect the tune at all, just the logging and monitoring. When I get enough free time I will go hunt down the fix if no one else remembers it off the top of their head.

this has been happening to myself as well. like when it's looking at the boost, the screen will start flashing and whatnot. Now, I'm thinking since I'm running a v102 map and this is new firmware, it's not recognizing....

I'm interested in the status of your website as well, bova!

Update your AccessPORT

I apologize for the confusion! You need to update your AccessPORT to the latest firmware version and then run the newest version of maps. This is why you are seeing the error in the boost display. If you wish to run the v1.02 maps, you need to download AccessTUNER Race, open the map(s) you wish to use, open and save the map. It will then be up to date. The older maps are not 100% compatible with the latest firmware. The maps that are currently on our website are the most update to date with the latest features available! Thanks again for your question and please PM us or call at 1-866-922-3059 if you have any other questions or needs!
