i just lowered my 02 p5 with skunk2 coilovers......for some reason out of no where....the front started to make this clicking sound when i turn the wheel left or right...does anybody know what it might be and how to fix it??

I have an 01 lx and my car is completely stock except for tinted windows heh. My car also makes a clicking noise when im backing out of my driveway and turn the wheel. It makes like 2 clicks. i have 56000 miles on the car too

I think we've identified the problem here ;)

that's just a fact of life if you're going to use skunk2's - clunking, popping, etc.

make sure everything is tightened down so nothing comes loose, but it's most likely just the coilovers

my car does the exact same thing, stock. but only sometimes, and not that often. after leaving the car parked for 10min to an hour, it goes away. usually only when turning wheel to the left.

same here, mine does this as well. mostly when i take right turns, it makes alot of clickin, excpecially if im goin fast into a turn. i have stock mp3 suspension. any thoughts. my struts on top arnt aligned i dont think.... n never straightened them out.

its kinda crazy....but all of a sudden the clicking stopped....and it seems like my steering is actually smoother.....i wonder if the clicking will come back.....

ya, mine stopped as well.... it does it from time to time now.... i think it might be the tie rod end bushing... cuz its only when i turn... and it sounds like its coming from the knuckle. are you lowered?

yeah mine is lowered with skunk 2 coilovers.....

mine is lowered with the Skunk2's as well, the popping noise comes from the spring rotating when you turn, the metal to metal contact between the spring on the top perch is what makes the noise. I am going to be making some polyurethane mounts to slip between the two fronts on mine to rid of the noise.

well if that the case then why did mine stop all of a sudden....and it seems smoother then before i even installed these springs?but let me know how those turn out...

I dont know, ive heard of others just stopping like that too, but I guess im just the unlucky one. I'll let you know when I get it finished.

I don't have skunk 2's but check the clearance to the collars on the inside of the wheel. My Nex coilovers started making noise the other day mostly on left turns and I thought it was my CV Joint. To my embarrassment it was after rotate and balance they used the weights that clip to the edge of the inside of the wheel instead of the usual tape strip weights the had been using.
