I don't drive a Mazda. Let's just leave it at that.
Ok everyone. Share anything "Christmasy" here. Pics of your trees, your presents, share a story, share your wish list....anything. :D

My Christmas tree from last year. I am going to swap out the pink for blue this year. Should have it up next week.

i dislike fake trees. its all about the real tree for christmas. my mom tried to put a fake one up a few years ago and i went out and bought a real one and put i up in my room.

real trees are a pain in the ass and they are messy. Plus I love trees.

yeah but fake trees suck. especially the ones with the lights already on it. next thing u know they are gonna come with ornaments...its like half the fun of decorating is gone. im big into the oranaments from hallmark and untangling the lights each year

we don't do a tree anymore. waste too much time, pain in ass to maintain, clean, etc...plus we aren't even at our house for christmas. so i say bah humbug.

Oliver had to endure some torture last year. He made us promise no further puppy humiliation this year.

I argue the Real Tree part. I have always had a real tree, since I was a very little one. Actually going out and picking out the perfect tree, getting it home and setting it up. They always smelled very good, which is what always triggers the smell of christmas for me. Plus getting together with family and putting the lights up and the orniments, then the angel and star. Then I always add my special touch. Since we are a railroad family, and I work at a model shop, Always put up a killer Trainset around the tree. Always leave enough room for presents, so that should tell you how big we make it. Just plain love this time of year. It always puts me in a good mood and is alot of fun. The spirit is big with our family.

Christmas pisses me off.

I'm not Christian, but if I didn't celebrate this holiday that I don't believe in, everyone (family, my wife) would give me a ton of crap about it. My wife is even pulling the Santa crap with our son, when I really don't like lying to the kid. Whenever I suggest that we should drop the whole thing before he gets too attached to it (he's 3, if we let it go this year, he wouldn't even notice, but next year it will be too late) she says she doesn't want to ruin it for him, and she loves Christmas 'cause it's fun.

Really, she just likes the presents, and wants people to buy stuff for her and Lucas.

Call me odd, but as I see it, if you're not celebrating it for its religious significance, you shouldn't be celebrating it. It's insulting to those who actually practice the religion.

Did you actually paint that room to match the tree and the presents? hahaha :p Or, was it the other way around I guess?

My dad does the real tree in his house. Last year it was 9 feet tall and 6 feet wide.

This photo taken two years ago. Her first Christmas.

Sorry to here. Sounds like you had a bad experience in life. For my family, we do not celebrate holidays for religious reasons, though some have different beliefs and everyone accepts one another. More so it's a time to gather and enjoy the company of loved ones. We have always given our daughter the opportunity to lead her own life. As a child we did not "lie" to her, she simply believed what she sees. When she became older she realized on her own that Santa, Tooth fairy, etc. was not real. Logic in that sense really does not come into play until the age of 6. Let the child enjoy life and family.

I celebrate Christmas for both the Birth of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as well as it being a time to gather with family and friends and just love one another. I do feel like it's become far too commercialized and about what "stuff" you want to get, but what hasn't these days.

Personally, it does not offend me if someone who does not believe as I do celebrates Christmas. I hope that through perhaps through spending time with other believers in their family and through fellowship, they might come to a deeper knowledge of the true significance of what the holiday means.

I LOVE getting a real tree. I have always had one until I had to get the white fake small tree. When I was with the ex we'd go every year and cut one down. If I had someone to help I'd probably still do a real one every year. I got the white one because I thought it was cute and I still get to have a tree at the same time. Plus since it's just me I can make it all girlie. :D
