CEL came on?

I was driving down the road the other day and all of a sudden for no reason my CEL decided to appear?:wtf:

So I checked my oil - nope, still good
checked my gas cap - nope, on tight
looked around in the engine - nothing seems to be out of place


Any Ideas??

just bring it back to mazda...... i assume something bad... CEL never go on when something is minor. Watch too is it blinks or not... this will determine if you ned to get it checked right away or not.. if it stays on.. then it might not be too bad.. if it blinks... start worrying....

What kind of road?
Was it at an unusual altitude for your car?
Is the exhuast sound louder?
Is the car idling weird?

My CEL came on a while ago while the car was just idiling in a parking lot and wouldn't go off. I did a an ecu reset (disconnect the negative battery cable and press the brake pedal a few times, then let it sit for a while) and it didn't come back on after that, I am assuming it had something to do with my Injen CAI as it hasn't returned since and had it been a real problem would have come back on. Worth a try.

The altitude and everything else was normal. And no it isnt blinking (I would be crying if it was). Im taking it to my dealer tommorow. They better not give me sh*t for my intake and wires.
