Cargo Net or Divider for Half Third Row

Does that title make any sense?

I'm between MZ5's for the moment, but I'm wondering if anyone else uses their third row like me. With three kids, two of whom are young and small, I use one third row seat and fold the other for extra cargo space. I want some kind of divider so any stuff I'm carrying on top of the folded seat won't fall or slide over into the other seat.

I'm thinking a regular cargo net or a nylon sheet, which could be easily removed and folded away. Or, a plastic panel that can be stowed behind. It should attach to the back edge of the third row seat and extend forward to the back edge of the opposite second row seat.

Someone else must have also had this idea, right?

sounds like you might want to measure the space and look for a large "rubbermaid" bin that will fit.

I considered that, but if I have a stroller or other large item, where do I put the bin?

I'd like the space to be open, but cordoned off from the seating areas.

Sounds like it's time to get out the tape measure and get some plywood and DIY. That's the one sure way to get what you want to fit the space you've got!

If it's one of your kids sitting back there, just be sure you're also mindful of how your child may interact with whatever you put there during an accident. So maybe ensuring it's something flexible/breakaway/cushioned? I'd stay away from any hard or rigid materials and stick with your ideas about cargo nets and such.
