cant accelerate past 5k rpm !!!

Yeah most likely a bad MAF, esepcially since your car is running really really f-in rich and its bogging. Hopefully you dont have fouled plugs now as well.

as far as the plugs i i have gone two my third set they are bosh platnium 4 and they have been black each time i change them also i get smoke out my tail pipe now when i am accelerating at 3.5k rpmand the boost controller hasent been used because on the day i got it(last summer) is when all this started happening but now its just worse.

Okay, your running WAAAAY to rich in fact when you had to go through your second set of plugs that was covered in black, you should have been worried, plugs dont go bad that quick unless your running way to lean or way to rich, in your case the second. You most likely have a problem with your MAF. Your MAF tells your car how much air is coming into the engine, so the reason you cant accel. past 3.5 is because the MAF is ****** and its telling the ecu all sorts of weird s*** (another reason why your engine is being flooded with unburnt gas). Bottom line: You need a new MAF.

Shouldn't have touched the boost if you wanted to keep your warranty.

Also, as previously said, don't you get a ******* clue when you have to replace spark plugs 3 times and they're black?

You've driven the car since last summer with issues like these and just now you decide to do something about it?

Posting?

WTF is that gonna do to fix your car?

Warranties are there for a reason. You, obviously, don't deserve to have a warranty, or a car, for that matter.

I want to see the looks on the service people's faces when they ask you "So, when did you first notice this problem?" and you say "Oh, about... last summer"

um i was posting to try and find out what the hell was the matter with the car cuz i am sure people on the boards know a lot more than i do and if i want to void my waranty thats my business not yours

The mafs can go anywhere from 150 (used) to about 600, call the dealer and ask them for a price qoute.

or go to a junk yard and pay $18

Is it the same for all proteges? If so I think I might go pick up a few and do a little testing to try and modify it.

could it also be a fuel cut even though its at stcok boost??
Very doubtful unless it was extremely cold.

Everything points to a faulty MAF, or a slipping clutch

if it's your MAF then u should probably put the stock air box on.
they might deny service with a CAI.
