that doesn't sound right... thats more vacuum than our cars are supposed to be capable of... unless you're in death valley or something. haha

Yea that's way too much vacuum. Is a Prosport gauge? If so, I wouldn't trust it very much.. their vacuum/boost gauges are notoriously inaccurate.

You should really take some pics of your engine bay. I really thought the MAF location was the culprit, but if you say you moved it and the problem is still there then you have something else going on.

I've had NO problems with my prosport.

Oh man, you're lucky. When I bought mine it was waaaaay off. So I did a bit of searching and all sorts of WRX and MS3 guys were complaining about inaccurate readings. I called Prosport and they even acknowledged the fault and gave me instructions on how to recalibrate the sender. They're pretty, but I don't trust their readings all that much..

ok well i change the maf location and that didnt fix the problem it alomst acts worst then before. changed to the msp ngk plugs gaped to 30 and still the problem goes on, I also think it may be a vac problem but im pretty sure they are on right any one have a vac diagram they know of. thanks again guys for all you input

Just to confirm, your MAF now sits between your BOV and your throttle body, correct?

Are you sure you BOV is working properly?

Just curious, and not trying to thread jack but...isn't that flange on the external wastegate supposed to be blocked off? Or is that not something to worry about? Didn't know if maybe that could be causing your car to act the way it is.

I believe that technically that flange is supposed to be routed to the exhaust pipe after the turbo, but I don't think it will hurt the engine if left as is.

I don't have a MSP tho, so someone correct me if I'm wrong.

no all that is is a wastge dump port i just havent put the dump tube on yet

the maf is pretty close to the BOV, but that shouldn't cause your issue either.

I still suspect a plumbing/wiring problem. can you give a basic diagram of your vac line routing?

also, dumping hot exhaust gasses so close to your air inlet CANNOT be good for ANYTHING. get a dump tube on that before you do anything.

I see at least one open vaccuum port on your intake. thats a problem there.. your vaccuum can't read anything over 10 in/hg with that open...

looks like the VICS isn't hooked up (hard to tell for sure), thats a problem too (though unrelated).

with the changes you've made, you're basically on your own. just make sure all the ports are used or plugged, and that you have a solid vaccuum source to everything that needs it (especially the WGA and BOV).

then check all of your wiring connections, hose clamps, etc.

I had some probs with my prosport electrical vac gauge, but none at all with the mechanical one

ok well i re did my vac lines and went over my wirring and icp couplers and they were all fine the car now does not rev over 3500 rpm and still no boost at all at idle it comes down to like 500 and then bouces to 800 and just keeps doing that at idle.takes like 3,4 times to start now.
