that is a lot of oil. the tranny is just shy of 2 qts anf the diff is just shy of 1. most oil drain pans can hold all the fluid from engine tranny and diff in one shot. so you can just slide it around underneath the car. and depending on the miata. some people with larger hands have trouble with the oil filter. i personally found it easier to remove the filter from the top. it took me about 1 hour for complete fluid change and spark plugs, fuel, and air filter. i had ti use 2x4's under the tires to get the car high enough to drain the fluid out with thcar level and not crush the pan i was using. dunno how the hell i am gonna do that when i get the car lowered....good luck and have fun
oh yeah.. spark plugs.. forgot about those.. what kind do i need?

93 Limited Edition, still have original 8.5lb wheels, Rod Millen hardshell tonneau cover, & hardtop.

That's awsome! It makes me really want an NA to add to my collection.

for spark plugs i jsut went to any of the miata aftermarket dealers and ordered whatever was recommended. i think those are just fine unless you are fi'd

Drool... Love a Shinsen!!

Welcome!!

I know of at least one Shinsen in the Miata club there in Charlotte...met the owners at Deals Gap last summer. I grew up in Matthews, down the street from Trip Rogers!

Rick - school is $30-40 (haven't heard the official word yet), all day, lunch included. I'll post details in the NC section when I get them.

I know Trip, good guy, good singer too! He's a character!! Haven't seen him in a while... I'm sure I know the same folks you met. See you at the Gap this year! #9 for me!!

You've got it.

Check it for fluid....shouldnt be bone dry....

I changed the fluid on mine, but mine is also a NA. Also I used the redline gear oil for the diff, not the tranny fluid.
