Hey y'all... I will dif. be going with y'all. Where is everyone meeting at in Phoenix again and what time? Also, just going to tag along with y'all to S.D on saturday... my friend who is coming with me, he and I are going to do our own thing on sunday... like go to sea world or something and then we're coming back on monday... but it will be fun either way......

Well, I would like to leave the final decision to Discreet about which route we will take. He has a 710 mile trip from sugarland to Las cruces, and then it's 220 miles to albuquerque. I was thinking that we could meet him in las cruces and stay there thursday night, then take a straight shot down I-10 to tucson and then yuma (550 miles from LC to yuma). It would shave nearly 400 miles off the trip for him to go that way (same for us either way). He might come up a day or 2 early to albuquerque so we can go lurk around though, so I'll let you know which he would rather do when he tells me.

So basically, we will either be going through flagstaff and phoenix, then on to yuma. Or we will go through cruces and tucson and then to yuma.

We can all meet at my parents house in Yuma for Bathroom breaks. I know Truc will need one by then. My parents are right off I-8 in the foothills.

I'll post directions to their house closer to the time.

i think the plan is to meet at the first exit off the 8 freeway at about 7am saturday morning. when you make that junction from the 10 to the 8, we'll be there. then from the 8 out to yuma is about 4 hours. then from yuma to where we need to be is about 2 more hours. i'm hoping to get us to the track by 2pm with minimal pit stops.

sweet deal, so just need to meet y'all at the i-10/i-8 junction at 7am then? works for me.... only takes me about....ummmmmmmm an hour to get there from where i live.
I live near 16th St. and Maryland....... so if anybody wants to join me to I-8/I-10 jct... let me know...we'll try to work something out...if not I'll just plan on meeting y'all there at I-8/I-10

well we only rock for driving to cali cuz there's a worthwhile event to go to! LoL It's going to be a lot of fun. And I guess I won't be traveling alone from NM at least.

haha, WAY too early for me... just look at the time of this post. We would have to leave at about 1 AM, do almost the entire drive all at once and then do the all day event. I was hoping we could make it to yuma on friday, and meet up with people there on friday night or saturday morning. If not yuma then maybe tucson, but 5 AM is still pretty early, and I think it would be nice to get most of the drive out of the way on friday.

Super 8 motel in Yuma is pretty nice. Its right behind the IHOP off the freeway and 16th st. I'll be in Yuma on Friday night the 9th anyway. But I won't be getting into town until around 10 PM that night.

Just an FYI to everyone in the Phoenix Metro area. Taking Maricopa Rd down to the 8 is a big shortcut. I used to take this route when going to Mexico everytime. Will save you a lot of time. Then we can ALL meet in Yuma at Bill's parents.
