we're not going to travel like 190mph the whole way there, are we? I've got a little 02LX with no engine mods, so I need to take it a nice easy 90 or so.

As you can see from all our past road trips we all pretty much stay together. We all use FRS radios and stay in communication.

If we start to get seperated the front of the pak usually waits for the rear to catch up.

Don't worry we won't leave you in El Centro while we fly up the mountain heading towards Julian. We'll wait at the other side of the mountain. Besides if I remember correctly there is a CHP welcoming party that is usually on the decent of the mountain heading into San Diego. So we will be doing the speed limit around that time so you can catch up.

Here are some calculations for me from Prescott. Christy wanted to have a ball park cost for either all 3 of us going or just me. Its kind of a draft/estimate but you get the idea.


Start: Prescott, Arizona, United States
End: 85365
Total Distance: 217.0 Miles
Estimated Total Time: 4 hours, 21 minutes
8 gallons of Gas/ just over half tank used. at 28 mpg
Stay at my parents house? Free night & food.
Top off tank. About $20 (Yuma prices) $1.75 Xs 8 gal = $14.

Start: Yuma, Arizona, United States
End: San Diego, California, United States
Total Distance: 173.0 Miles
Estimated Total Time: 2 hours, 47 minutes

6 gallons of gas @ 28 mpg/ just under half tank $1.75 X 6 = $10.50 / $12.00 @ $2 per gal.
Top off tank before going to the track. About $25 max (Calif prices) if we are hauling ass and sucking gas all the way to SD.

Registration $50 I think for all 3 of us / $30 for just me.
Snacks at track $20 for 3 or $10 for 1
Dinner $40 for 3 or $15 for 1
Gas for the cruise up PCH $25.

Hotel for one night on 04/10/04 =$100 or less if we share a room.

Continental breakfast = free

Gas home $50. (Calif prices)

Thats going to Phoenix then I-17 north.

We will be leaving from Albuquerque NM, and it's a straight shot down I-40 to Flagstaff. Where will all you Az folks be meeting up? Prescott? My Dad used to live in Phoenix so I am kinda familiar with the area, but could use a little refreshing from you locals.

This is a list of who is going. I live in Prescott but I'm going down the night before and staying at my parents house in Yuma.

I will meet all of y'all in Yuma. Then we all can head to Cali together. I posted a link earlier for those who wanted see hotel prices.

So I guess we're looking at meeting up with the az crew in Yuma? Easy enuff. Rich, we need to figure out where to stay in AZ, my cousin has a boyfriend these days apparently. Unless you really want to leave at about 2-3am and drive straight through? I would also be up for that if you wanna pull a crazy drive... but if you're planning on racing (and I'm sure you are with that kick @$$ car) we should find somewhere to stay that Friday night.
