calizona run / protegefest event

can i have a list of all mazdasports members who will be joining me on this run? i need to get a list to spicy soon so we can get organized.

the events are tentatively schedule as:

april 10, 2004

5am meet at the first exit off the 8 freeway. yes, this means tucson folks will be leaving at 4am.

10am meet bill, christy and lexi in yuma.

be at the raceway by 12pm.

race all day on the 1/8th mile drag ($30), hang out, meet MOCC, etc. until the evening where i'm trying to see if anyone from MOCC can set up a midnight canyon run.

whoever wants to spend the night can rent a hotel/motel room and split a double occupancy if cost is a factor.

april 11, 2004

10:00am meet at where ever you guys are staying

10:30am proceed up the pacific coast highway (PCH) for some MAJOR SCENERY and MAJOR TWISTIES.

3:00pm leave the southern california area for the arid climates of arizona.

i'm hoping to get everyone back home and in bed by 11pm for those who have to work the next morning.

and YES, I HAVE ALLOTED TIME FOR THE TUCSON CONTINGENT TO HAVE MANY POTTY BREAKS ALONG THE WAY.

i'm not going to hold you against your will! hahaha. you can do whatever you want... i'm just worried that all that driving could become hazardous with a night out on the town. but whatever your fancy! oh, dinner will be at the diner that bill and christy know about... i think it was the corvette diner if i am not mistaken. anyway, hope more than just me and nate are going!

Just wanted to say I hope everyone can make it out. I got word that Mazda is sponsoring our event. They will be donating food for MOCC, as well as bringing show/race cars they have in the area. We also have a long list of vendors that will be at the event! See you there!

Next year this will probally be held at Mazda R&D in Irvine. Cant wait. We just wanted to try a driving event out!

Has anybody checked on hotel rooms for a holiday weekend?

In case you hadn't noticed that is Easter weekend. Hey MOCC guys are there any group deals on hotels going on. The cheapest hotel that I can find is over $70 for the night for two people. Most rooms were over the $90 range.
