cabin air filter

hey guys.. quick question.. does the 2004 mazda 3i 2.0L engine have the air cabin filter. THe dealer told me it doesn't... but i think they are BSin.. They told me they start putting in filters starting 2005... :/

yes they do have an air cabin filter, but from what i understand it is not needed. don't hold me to it, but i think you can take the filter out and not replace it. in order to get to the filter, you have to remove the glove compartment. my dealer which is east of cleveland charged me $60 to replace the filter.

No, the 2004 does not have the cabin air filter installed. It does, however, have a slot for one so you can add it yourself.
