So I've been reading all over the The Retrofit Source's (TRS) website, and the more I read the more confused i get about which kit to buy for my 04 mazda 3s hatch. I've been reading that the "H7: Morimoto Elite HID system" is the way to go in some places, but that I may need to spend way more to custom order all the parts to do the right. Can anyone confirm this for me that may know more about it/has personally ordered a kit from them? Any info is greatly!!! Thanks for reading

P.S. Just bought my first Mazda 3 last Saturday! My favorite car to date!

TRS finally responded to my email today! Here is what they recommend, with a link to the specific clear lenses for the Mazda3:

Clear lens swap- $55

H7 morimoto ultimate HID kit- $150
[35w ballast for reliability (and a 5 yr warrantee)]

Special thanks to Andrew @ TRS!!!

Jesus Christ those ballasts are huge. I'd get a set from DDM tuning. $30 + shipping. Probably comes from China, but it's all plug and play. I've bought 4 sets for various cars and have had no issues.

Nice! I'd love to do a plug n play, but my OCD says do it right. So I'm getting a good kit with clear lenses and a warrantee. I wish my wallet and the OCD could come to terms more often....

really, they aren't THAT big. plus, you are getting a quality kit with the best customer service in the industry. PLUS, with the TRS kit, you get a VERY high quality harness kit.

The harness does look like much better quality than mine. I've had mine for two years w/ no issues. I just couldn't beat the price.
