buying a 03.7

nocar

PS!
Potential Scammer!
I was thinking about this today and I wanted to ask somebody before I brought it up to the guy handling the sale of my blue 2003.7 msp.

I have gotten a blank check of up to a certain amount for my msp from an online loan company. There is no downpayment.

This is what I want worked into the purchase of the car.

AWR motor mounts and the buddyclub2 body kit (painted) and installed on my car and all the expenses added to the price of the car.
(poke)

edit: misunderstood the question...

You may be able to but I think you would have to have collateral of some kind?!

Okay, I think I get it now. You are selling your MSP with a body kit and mounts, and you want the buyer (loan co.) to tack on what it cost you to put on the kit and mounts? I would have to say no. I would think the mods would, if anything, make it worth less, because it has been modified. But, who knows. Do you have all your receipts? Do you have all your maintenance records...oil changes, warranty work...etc?

Or...are you buying an MSP and want extra money in the loan for you to have the kit and mounts installed?

sorry i didnt make sense its liek 6am i havnt slept im out of it

but yea i am buying a msp and i want to include the kit and mounts in the loan. will a dealer do this for me?

If the dealer does installs of this nature, which they probably don't, they may very well do a deal like that for you. If you were buying from a private party you could swing a deal like that, but it would be with some risk. I've done the exact same thing with used vehicles that I"ve purchased to finance repairs or shipping costs. Just ask em.

Sure you can just ask the dealer for the 2500 cash back in cash.. and make the check out to the total price of the car.

i.e. if u pay 20000 for the car before the 2500 cash back
ask them to give u the 2500 cash back in cash/check and make your loan check out for 20000

Thats probably the way to do it. Dealer prob wont do the kit and such.

03.7 MSP is a couple of different colors. Its the same as the 3.5 but the colors came out later. Blue is one I dont know the other.

Your loan company doesnt need to know how much the car costs. You can take out an auto loan for whatever amount you want. If the car is 18k, just tell the company you're borrowing from you want to take out a loan for 21k. They dont have to know you are taking the extra 3 grand to modify it....

actually they do....no bank is gonna give u money with out knowing exactly what ur buyin and how much its worth...y would a bank give u a 21k loan on a car worth 18k...if for whatever reaosn they need to repo the car..they are out the difference ...... i agree with takin the cash back as a check and using that

It depends a lot on the loan company how much they will give you. You can find some that are not as concerned with details. However. They end up being high interest loans more often than not. High interest is due to the higher risk for say loaning someone more money than the car is worth. The loan company is going to require a sales reciept from the dealership before they cut you a check though.
Thing is if you already have the check and it's blank can't you just put down whatever you want?

^^^ That was some rambling. Good luck deciphering it.

Well i dunno how it is for those of you with bad credit. I got my loan through my credit union at 3.49%. My MSP was 16k but i still borrowed 16,5 and i could have borrowed more if i wanted. At no point in time did my credit union talk to Russel Mazda. I simply told them i wanted to apply for an auto loan for 16,5 and they approved it. I could have applied for 20k and they would have approved it. Only problem i could see is the check comes in your name as well as the dealerships name. I dont think it wouldnt raise any concern unless you were trying to borrow more than the MSRP.

i dont have bad credit..... bank only loans on a car of its value....ur bank recieves all the information of ur purchase and see what the value is extra...basically because its their car until u pay them off...no bank will let u walk away with a loan and no know where its goin.....they will approve u for a loan for a certain amount and let u shop...but if u end up gettin a car for 18k and u still ask for 21k loan...they are gonna ask y......in your case the bank goes off msrp becuase its a new car and ur approved loan was under the limit.....its common sense that a bank would sit aorund givin low interst car loans to ppl and not care where its goin....cus its thier property ur buyin until u pay it off......

btw....i went to russel back in november...wouldnt budge from 19k like i was a suker....i knew they would drop after they realize they aint gettin nuttin near msrp for a msp lol

yeh 21500 msrp minus 2500......19k......i was like come on guys u aint gonna sell that s*** for that much.....i know they discontinuin the car and they are sellin mad cheap else where....they said they would keep them til they sold for 19k (huh) i told them to go **** the tail pipe...there was only 3 left...a silver (urs im assumin) titanium and a yellow...i was lookin at the titanium...edned up goin to rich morton in glenburnie and got my msp for 16,100 out the door......
